That just gives me the creeps -- guess I am superstitious. What about some other DIS words to play on? DIStinctive, DIScovery, DISorder/DISorderly, DISease (okay, forget that one), DIScriminating, DIStant, DISobedient (that's just me), um........someone help me here!

You can pop in DIS into the word searches here http://www.oneacross.com/
and come up with some odd words.... esp if you put DIS in the back of the word. So I was thinking maybe macking an DIS aconym instead and really go nuts.. what to you think?

It's really easy eric to make a new thread with all the old people. We're venturing out on own own, meeting new people, cutting the aproms ties, not going back again ::yes::

Hey,
a third of our crew is new, too. And because we don't want to go back again we go to Antigua ;)

First Off the reason we are waiting before we go to Antigua is so you guys have worked out the problems... ;)

Secondly.... Antigua ?????? if you have seen one english ex town you seen them all....

My dh, and my 2 dds and I will be in a cat. 10 deck 7. My mom and dad will be joining us. See ya'll there!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :wave2: pirate:

Welcome, Snowwhite!!

Have you ever cruised with Disney before? How old are your DD'S?

I wish I could get my parents to join us on a cruise! I know they would LOVE it!! (who wouldn't? LOL)
Suzanne

My dds are 11 and 14 and we have never cruised before. My 14 year old is alittle hesitant and doesn't know if she'll like the cruise. The 11 year old can't wait. The cruise was my parent's idea. We have vacationed together before and a few years back, we all rented a large RV and traveled out West to see Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion, and Navajolands. ::yes:: :sunny:

My Mom and my FIL and SMIL are joining us on the cruise. I've traveled with my FIL before, but not with my Mom since I was a kid. It'll be interesting. We're all looking forward to it :bounce:

Greetings all - we posted on the beginning pages of the thread, but I have just now sent an e-mail to Tigfanjeff with our information.

One excursion we want to try is the Stringray City. Any recommendations would be welcome. Tigfanjeff mentioned renting a private boat as well.

This is our second cruise. Previous was an Eastern this past June.

Did any others who booked early get a letter from Disney? It re-iterated how wonderful each of the ports were, and built everything up. From the tone, I know there was going to be bad news at the end, and there was regarding the cost. It seemed one location had raised their Port fee, and the cost was going to rise $1 per person. I laughed out loud. Seemed like a lot of effort to explain a total of $4 increase for the total cost.

I didn't get a letter from Disney... I booked roughly April, 2003

Did you book through a travel agent or directly through Disney? I booked with Dreams Unlimited.

Surely seems like Disney could have eaten the $1.00 fee instead of sending out letters! LOL

We booked directly through Disney while we were on board this past June. Could be that DU got the letter and is eating the $1.

Hi there,
try this link: Captain Marvin's . We did it and liked it very much. It was about $40 per person. It was a 5-minute walk from the place where the tender put us ashore and from there they shuttled us over to the boat with some nice vans. Enroute they told some trivia about the islands and made a short stop at the Governor's residence.
We then took the boat out to three different locations. We snorkeled at the first location, then went to Stingray City, where we waded in about 3-4 feet deep water and interacted with the stingrays, and finally we pulled over to the last snorkeling location about 400 yards from Stingray City. The whole thing lasted about 3-4 hours and we had a blast. The provided water and fruitjuice and had all the equipment on board: Fins, masks and snorkels. Additionally we were accompanied by a video photographer in scuba-gear who taped everything. You could order the film either on VHS for $59 or on DVD for $66. Stiff price, but it was worth it. They managed to send it from Grand Cayman to Germany within 10 days.
For the tour-reservation you have to supply them with your creditcard# to hold it, but you pay at the shop before the cruise. Back at the shop everyone gets a rum-cake and 10% on everything in the shop.
The tour leaves you with plenty of time for shopping before heading back to the ship.
