$200 disney rewards credit card offer

it's $200 credit per card offer, so if you get 2 cards, still $200-....

The invite to apply for the $200 credit came to our family but at my mother's residence (we have never lived there, but I have had things shipped there in our name when I knew we would be out of town when a package arrived). It looks like I should be able to use the invite anyway since it has our name and it says "if your address is different than printed below please make correction".

When you try to apply online, it shows the first name of the person that the application was targeting. The name that popped up on our invite was my daughter's first name...and she's in 5th grade :lmao:! I think she is a little young to apply for a credit card. We will have to call in and try to apply with the adults as the primary. We'll see how that goes.

I asked this earlier, but have other people been able to use one invite to get cards for two people in the family and get $400? My husband and I would both sign up if we can. I'll have to ask my daughter if she will let us use her credit card invite if we take her with us on the trip ;).

We got 2 invites for this card, both in DHes name. He was approved for both and we got a total of 400$.

:lmao:, I'm sure she wouldn't mind!!!

Those current card holders that get the offer - you guys realize that you are simply applying for a new card, and not just applying the offer to the existing one, right?

And with this comes a hard hit to your credit score...

If you were planning on getting the card to switch from another one is one thing (I have a DVR - charter member if it ever means anything) but just to get the credit is another ...

My .2...

Meh :confused3 To me this is no biggie. I mean seriously, how big a hit are you really going to take? Some points, yes, but if you have good credit, it shouldn't make a huge difference unless you are planning to finance a car or home in the very near future. If you are in that position, I certainly wouldn't advise opening lines of credit but otherwise...a small score change is unlikely to have a big affect on your everyday life.

It didn't affect our credit score, or at least it wasn't a "hard hit". We had/still have an EXTREMELY high credit score.

My first post!!

I am so confused! I just signed up for the card through the WDW site directly and it said I was getting a $40 credit.....can I call and ask for the $100 or $200?

I got 3 of these offers in the mail (oh,cc companies just love us:rolleyes1)
but when I tried to fill out the online form for dh ,it just wouldn't go through, maybe b/c I just got one? I mean it just kept staying on the same screen with an error message when I had done everything correctly.
Not the end of the world, but I'd like that other offer too!

You get whatever offer you apply through. The $100 was through the AP site. I know others have gotten the code to do this but that's where I've seen it. The $200 was an offer some received through the mail. You can call and ask, but usually you get the offer you apply through. Some are only $15, some $25 and the $25 is a referral from another Chase Disney Visa holder where the new cardmember gets a $25 giftcard and the referring cardholder gets a $25 Disney Dollar credit.

Thanks! And you're right, I just called and no such luck! :sad1:

Sorry, but that's just the way it is I guess. My son did the 25/25 for referrer thing before I saw the 100! so only the 25 each. At least you'll get 40 plus all the disney dollars on purchases!

That happened to me with our second one, so I mailed it in and we were accepted for the card and got the 200$.

I asked my dh if we received any credit card applications from Disney and my dh replied " Idon't know... I shred all the credit card applications and junk mail duH..... "
Am I married to Dumbo , Dopey or Grumpy?
He picks up the mail so he has now been told by his Queen ...to let me sort the mail.
Hopefully I may find an offer.

Just wanted to update. I applied for the DVC $100 gift card offer, used my card for the 1st time on 3/16 and yesterday I received the $100 gift card in the mail. Took about 3 weeks to get the card.

My wife first got this offer and threw it away. I applied on the Disney site and got the $40 credit offer. The next day, my wife got another offer for the $200 revard points. She called it in and received her card yesterday. We plan to use it tonight. So, I am understanding correctly that the $200 rewards will appear on our first statement? And then we have to request a card, is that right? We leave for Disney on June 11- is that enough time for this whole process to take effect? Thanks for any help you can give!
