$200 disney rewards credit card offer

My wife first got this offer and threw it away. I applied on the Disney site and got the $40 credit offer. The next day, my wife got another offer for the $200 revard points. She called it in and received her card yesterday. We plan to use it tonight. So, I am understanding correctly that the $200 rewards will appear on our first statement? And then we have to request a card, is that right? We leave for Disney on June 11- is that enough time for this whole process to take effect? Thanks for any help you can give!

Mine didn't appear on my first statement...hoping it's on the 2nd because we are going to WDW next month and that's the whole reason I applied for it! DH already had a Disney Visa.

:sad1: I got it, but can't use it. We aren't going to WDW for about 4 years, and DH wants to put points on a card that is more relevant at this time.

I don't think you get rewards points, I think it's a $200 gift card that they mail you. Someone said it took about 3 weeks

My offer was for $200 reward dollars not a gift card. It looks like there must have been different offers for different people. I used my card on March 15th the first time, paid off the balance the next day. I just called today and the $200 will not go into my account until my next posting date which is April 18th.
Bummer, coz I am going to the parks for 5 days from the April 16th-20th.

You can get a rewards card at the parks and call on the 18th to transfer your rewards onto the card. You would have a little time to use some of the money. I imagine you could try to put it towards your room too.

Thanks, we are staying offsite though. I was planning on purchasing a 10 day, hopper, non-expiring MYW. I think what I will do now is just purchase a 5 or 6 day initially and then on the 18th upgrade my ticket for the remaining days and add the non-expiring.

I applied using the $100 link that was posted here a few days ago.
It said I would hear in a few weeks, or something to that order. When I applied it asked if I had other Chase cards which I do, so I applied using my login info for that card. This morning I logged into my account to pay some off my other Chase card ....and low and behold I see I have to accounts listed now under my name and one says Disney rewards! Woo HOOO!
I have been using my regualr chase card to pay for stuff and then paying it off every couple of days, so I can earn the points, but once I get that Disney card, I will now do it with that one. I am excited!

I did the same thing; used the option to log into my Chase account for the other card.Sure made it easier and quicker to apply. I would have preferred the Rewards offer as I not going to WDW for a few years but there is a Disney Store near my home so the $100 gift card won't go to waste and I'll be building rewards on the card towards my next trip.

Hubby received the $200 offer. I already have a Disney Visa. I called and asked if I could just add him to my account (as a new person) and still receive the award. They told me no, that he would have to have his own card.

My question is, we have a Citi Visa that never gets used. If we cancel that out and have my hubby apply for the Chase Disney Visa, how bad of a hit will our credit take? We have very good credit now and I was just wondering if it is worth it. He won't use the Disney Visa except for the initial purchase that is needed as we use our GM Mastercard for everything. We have been trying to get away from charging on the credit card. We do however, pay it off in full at the end of the month. My husband doesn't believe in paying interest.

We are planning on going to WDW in Sept, so this will help. I also did the $25 gift card offer through DVC.

If the Citi Visa is a card that you have had for a number of years, you would not want to cancel it, even if you apply for the Chase Disney card. Length of time you have held your cards is one of the factors considered. We just had DH apply for the $200 offer. We won't cancel any other cards to offset the new card. Our credit score is very high and we don't have any plans to borrow money in the future so I wasn't worried about the impact.

I was holding out for the $200 offer but really want to book my WDW trip so I went for the $100 offer and will just resign myself to the fact that I wasn't meant to have the $200 offer.

Ok... so tonight I applied online and was accepted. Next, the card comes and I make... any purchase to qualify for the points ? How do the points become a Disney Gift Card ? TIA.

You applied for the Disney Visa that offered $200 Disney Rewards?

You make a purchase (for whatever amount) and then on your first billing your rewards show up. You then call and request The card. :cool1:

Agh! Tons of offers via mail from tons of other card companies, but still not this one! And logging in thru my Chase online appears to give me no bonus if I apply for the Dis one thru there.

For anyone who did the $100 gift card sign up, how long did it take to revieve the card after a purchase. I also can't find it mentioned anywhere on my paperwork that came with the card. I jsut used it last week, so I will wait, but how long is too long to wait.

I think the offer details (on line)states 6-8 weeks to get the GC. I signed up for this offer and got the card 2-3 weeks after I first used the card.

Thanks ! Seemed pretty straight forward. Hoping the Visa shows up this week. Think I may sideline one of my other cards at least through January when we are planning on our next trip to The World. :thumbsup2

Of course after I sign up and get approved for the $100 gift card offer, I get in the mial yesterday one for $150.
