Sorry if this was asked before. We are going in October with our 20 month old son then. What rides in each park are best for him. I know some of them are dark not sure how he will be.
Thanks in advance

Our daughter was 15 months on her first trip. She loved everything! She was't old enough to find rides like Haunted Mansion scary, so even the dark rides were OK for her. This is a decent page that will give you some ideas.

Glad someone else asked this and you gave input, baby will be 14 months when we go! Thanks!

We took one of our boys when they were 18mths and he was fine riding everything he was able to. He was always a little afraid of the dark, so we worried about that but he was more intriqued with what was going on around him then the dark. I can't think of anything (wow that was like almost 6 years ago!!) that really scared him or caused him to be upset.

Agreed, we traveled with 13 mo old, and he didn't know to be afraid of any rides. Holding still was the big issue- so we went on any ride with no/minimal lines:)

We just went with a 20 month old. He was terrified of the dumbo type rides, but pretty much loved everything else. When my older son was 2 1/2 he was so scared on the Great Movie Ride and Spaceship Earth (when it gets pitch black at the end) and we didn't take him on Pirates or Haunted Mansion because we knew he would be scared. But the 20 month old went on all of those without any problem. He was too young to know to be scared. He was terrified of the characters though. He loved them from a distance, waved and said hi, but if he got within 5 feet he melted down.

We went to DL when my middle child was 18 months. She cried on every ride. Every. Ride.

Not entirely true. She slept through several rides (in our baby carrier).

But seriously. Everything. She had fun, though, I think. We ended up mostly dividing up, with our oldest getting to ride everything twice while we baby swapped, and she got to run around. It actually ended up being pretty fun for the parent that was hanging out with her, as well. I wandered around Disneyland for HOURS, we took in a few of the play areas, had a lot of unplanned character encounters.
