I was thrilled to get an ADR for BOG on our first MK morning. And then I checked the menu for pre-ordering. Holy mackerel - everything is $19.99. And it doesn't even sound all that great. Especially for my girls. I'll keep checking daily for a lunch ADR but thought it would be fun to eat in Beast's castle, but not at that cost. Perhaps we'll hit up Kona and take the monorail to MK afterwards. Much better bang for your buck I'd say. Unless you can convince me otherwise!

I ordered off the kid's menu and was satisfied with my meal and portions. At the kid's prices, I thought it was worth it, particularly since we beat the rope drop crowd to 7 dwarves on a day I couldn't get a fastpass.

My kids are 11 and 15. Are they still allowed to order off the kids menu???

If I were paying OOP, I'd totally agree that it isn't worth it. Plus, we're not big breakfast eaters at all! My DD is happy with a pastry, and I just need my coffee in the morning usually.
That being said, we're on free QS dining next month, and have an 8:20am ADR for it, when the MK opens at 9:00. So, we figure it's paid for (free-ish, since really nothing is free!), and we can do a few rides early before our fastpasses start. Only thing is, we're rarely up and out early, so this one day of the trip we will be!
If it gets you in before rope drop, I'd say consider it? Also, you can share meals too.
The kids meals look quite small, but at least they also cost less.
We may end up sharing, only because I don't know if I'll be hungry. Odds are, we won't though. We'll have plenty of CS credits, since we share often (especially in the heat).

While I agree that the food itself is probably not worth it, there are a lot of people who eat breakfast there to beat the rope drop crowd. If that is a priority, it's worth it. If it's just for the Beast's castle experience, I'd try for a lunch or dinner. We're doing dinner so we can meet the Beast, but I'm hoping the breakfasts extend to my dates because I want a jump on the crowds. We have FD, so to me it's worth a QS credit, especially if we can share meals.

If you pay our of pocket, no. If it's on dining plan Quick service yes.

We go in may and it Was good but not outstanding. My poched eggs Was hard boiled. But i looooove brie cheese and the bread is good because it's baguette.

In november we wiil pay out of pocket for one big breakfast and i choose Trail's End because of the price and the choice who seems good. And for the boat trip :fish:

Don't forget $20 includes pastry plate, entree and drinks so pricing is in line with lunch if you think of it as a two course meal. Also you can get two beverages (juice & coffee for example) if you want for the same price.

BoG breakfast is 'worth it' if you dine before Rope Drop.

For us, however, Beast Castle is better at dinner - not bad value by Disney standards and meeting the Beast is precious.

My daughter had no trouble ordering off kids menu (she is 13) and actually I did not even order a meal (a friend was paying for mine so she ordered mine for me from a different CM) and the CM did not mind at all. The 3 of us ordered one kids meal and one adult meal with no issues.

When we were there, 4 adults and 5 12-year olds ordered off the kids menu. No problem at all. Actually we pre-ordered. I thought my very expensive cereal was worth it to be in the park early :).

We were just there on 7/15 and we paid out of pocket, as the dining plan is worthless to us (doesn't save us any money for the way we eat).

We ordered two entrees, the croissant donut and the open face sandwich, for all four of us: Me, DH, DS11 (almost 12) and DS9 (who turned 10 two days later). Both came with fruit, which the kids ate, and the table received a pastry plate (and they were actually good pastries, too!). We shared the entrees, both of which were very good (ESPECIALLY the open face bacon and egg sandwich. One of our favorite breakfast items on property now).
We are not huge breakfast eaters, so this worked perfectly. The kids got our drinks, and DH and I just had water (July = hydrate, hydrate, hydrate).

The park hours for our trip changed to an 8am opening, which is when we had our meal scheduled (originally it would have been a pre-park meal), so we changed our reservation to 945, but we got in early, closer to 915 I think.

We enjoyed it, and will book again, especially if it's before park opening.

I would keep checking for the lunch, but BOG is an experience not to be missed. I would probably still do the breakfast if nothing else, IMHO it will be worth it.

We are doing lunch and dinner OOP. No way wound I pay those prices for breakfast. The menu doesn't appeal and the portions wouldn't fill up my son or boyfriend.

What's the size of the kid's French Toast? I would like to do this if we can get a pre-park open but my husband won't do creeps and breakfast out has to be a carb.

If I'm paying OOP, it's still more than I'm willing to pay. But to each their own.

still a touch on the expensive side but not that bad considering what is included
