I like tuna casserole as well and it doesn't matter in that if the tuna is highest quality of not. In a tuna salad you want the albacore. In a tuna casserole, the chunk light will be wonderful. I hate cream of anything soup, so I make a bechamel, put in sliced mushrooms, tuna, salt and pepper. Mixed with cooked pasta of any kind. layer in a casserole dish and top with broken potato chips and bake. My children (who do not like tuna) eat this up.

My boys love this too - my mom used to make it for me and she used a white sauce/ I make it with thin slices potatoes ( I use my food processor or a kitchenaide slicer attachment) instead of the potato chips to make it a bit healthier, but it take longer to bake.
