Just got a phone call from this company for the first time and was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with them good or bad??

I was told I would be a floater for a project tomorrow that I would be paid $100 for and would be on the phone/computer for 1 hour 30 minutes. My only concern is there is some sort of screen sharing you have to agree to so they can see what you are doing on the computer--is this safe as long as I'm doing it just for this or can they acess info from my computer that way?? Was just wondering if anyone here would encourage or discourage me from doing this tomorrow?? Thanks for your help!!

I would very concerned of many reasons. Your IP address will be on all work. $100 for 1 1/2 hours? Is a read flag.
Maybe the check would never clear....
Are some of my thoughts.
Even the name, a play on the show 20/20

I've done some online focus groups for 20/20 in the past, but it's been a while. It is a legitimate market research company and I didn't have any problems with payments. They don't ask for credit card/bank account #'s or social security numbers. I'm not sure what you mean by "screen sharing." If I remember correctly, when I did it, the study was more of an online bulletin board. You would log in and answer questions and interact with the moderator/others in the group.

I had to do screen sharing once for a project.

Without going into too many details the company was having me buy something on their website (antivirus) and wanted to see how I did it...meaning which links I used etc -- page by page. What I thought of the process page by page, etc

I did have to buy the product and was reimbursed for it and when we got to the screen where I was to input my credit card they had me "turn off" the screen sharing.

I would do it again but I do alot of these so I guess I am just used to some of the different processes used.

I was also paid in the above range for this project.

Ive been doing 20/20 research for a lot of years, and I have never had an issue. I have done the screen sharing several times and have never had an issue with payments either.

I did an in-person focus group for them a couple years ago. It lasted 2 hours and I got $125. I wish they would call me again . . .
