I have a question about a 2 year old.

She is on our reservation, no bed, no charge,
she will be in the parks with us no ticket, no charge,
will she be on our dining plan?

somehow I'm thinking not, she will be allowed to eat at buffets or off our plates but not have credits?

my concern is this. My princess: can eat, and drink, and likes snacks. . .popcorn::

should I just buy OOP for her as we go or would it save money to get her a DDP for $11 a day or can I even do this (during free dining I mean)? The drinks and snacks for this little one OOP will probably come to almost that much I'm thinking??:confused3

any thoughts?

No, she won't be on the Dining Plan. You'll be able to get her accommodated at restaurants just like if you weren't on the Dining Plan -- in other words, she can eat off your plate, and at buffets, you can get her what she wants from the buffet.

I would pay OOP for her. Even though the $10.99 is insanely inexpensive, if you were to pay for the Dining Plan for her you would also be forced to buy her park admission.

Last year when we went to Disney World, we were on the dining plan with a 2 year old that eats a lot. We had no problem sharing our meals with her at pre-plated TS. The always brought out an extra plate for her. She drank out of a sippy cup that we brought for her. We had leftovers at every meal. At the CS, we made sure we ordered desserts that could be carried with us because most of the time we were too full to eat them

Bicker, thanks for that heads up about needing a park pass to be on plan, I had read it but forgotten about it.

so , I guess that OOP sounds about right. I guess I was just thinking of sit down meals with drinks, I would just buy a drink for her I guess. Makes me wonder, are there refills on fountain sodas at TS meals?

I was also thinking about snacks, but I will just carry in some of the things she likes to munch on anyway.

So glad to hear there are some desserts that we can take with us for later.

Thanks for the replys.

Last year my daughter was 2 and she was not on our dining plan and it was no problem!! We never had to buy her a thing, she ate from our plates (they brought a seperate plate for her). Just bring a sippy and you should be good to go. Even though 11.00 is cheap, why waste it if you don't need to....that's extra goodies you can get for her=) Have a great trip and believe me, Disney takes care of the little ones, there's never an issue=)

Every TS restaurant we've been to offers complementary refills on sodas.

We went in November and dd turned 3 in December. She eats more than my ds5. We had several buffets and of course she ate what she wanted at those. I shared my skillet at Whispering Canyon Cafe which was not a problem. At the other restaurants we usually got her a plate and ordered a drink - between all of us, there was more than enough food for her (we did have 4 adults, ds5 and dd2). We were only charged for her drink once during the 9 days we were there (I think it was Coral Reef but I could be wrong). We shared counter service meals with her at lunch as well and never had a problem with not having enough -- usually we threw away food.
As far as snacks, we just bought her what the rest of us were having. My kids would not share a single ice cream treat, etc. so we'd spend the $2.50 for her to have her own. We didn't get snacks each day and had the majority of them left on the last day that we spent on chips, candy, etc. for the 17 hour drive home. We basically were stuffed the entire trip.

We were pretty lucky on our last trip. My dd was 2 and they brought her a drink and I was never charged for them... I always did tip more because with free dining it made me feel good to give a little extra to the server... I was very fortunate to have great servers the whole time. I was there alone with my 3 kids and maybe the servers felt sorry for me...:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I would bring a sippy cup and just use your drink to fill your kids up... There are lots of food to go around so don't worry about it.. You may have to pay a bit oop but not too much. Heck even a few of the restaurants even brought my daughter a dessert without me even asking...
BTW this it Crossfamily not P89
