Hi Everyone :wave2:

Count me in! This will get me excited for my upcoming trip!

Count me in too! :yay: I'm looking forward to reading your reviews.

Our first meal was lunch at Sunshine Seasons.

I had the Grilled fish tacos with cabbage slaw, poblano pepper aioli, and potato salad. I passed on the potato salad. It seemed like an odd side to pair with fish tacos. I also had a key lime tart for dessert.

DH had the Mongolian Beef, with Creme Brulee for dessert.

The fish tacos were great for a CS meal. I really liked that the fish was blackened on the outside rather than breaded and fried. It had a nice amount of spice. My only complaint would be that there was a little too much cabbage on them, but it was easy to just take some of it off. The key lime tart was really good, but the crust was very thick and I was pretty full from the fish tacos, so I ended up eating the filling out of the shell and leaving the shell. :thumbsup2

DH wasn't thrilled with his choice. The portion was pretty small (it was mostly noodles and veggies, not very much beef), and he says the beef was a little dry and needed more sauce. The creme brulee was surprisingly good. I wasn't expecting a CS creme brulee to be very good, so I initially declined when DH offered me a bite. He liked it a lot and insisted that I try it, so I did. The sugar on top was the perfect thickness (I hate when the top layer is super thin or thick), and the custard was very flavorful.

DH isn't too eager to return, but I still love Sunshine Seasons. I love having so many options.

Don't blame your DH for not being happy with his meal. This looks more like an appetizer than a meal. I've gotten food from that section before and I've gotten a whole lot more food than that. All of the deserts at Sunshine Seasons are really good. Looking forward to the rest of your reviews.

In the afternoon of our first day, we conveniently happened to be in front of Rose and Crown when a downpour started, so we stopped inside to stay dry and have a drink.

DH believes he had a Harp lager. I had the Cider and Black, which was Strongbow with a shot of blackcurrant juice. It was SO good. I love cider, and the blackcurrant juice made it even better!

Next, we wandered down to Norway to use our Maelstrom FP+, then stopped at Kringla for a snack. DH and I decided to split a School Bread and a Troll Horn.

The school bread was perfect as always. We both love the custard and the subtle cardamom flavor of the bun. I tried to cut it down the middle to get a photo of the cross section, but my plastic knife skills apparently need some help and I pretty much mutilated it :sad2:

Neither of us had ever tried the troll horn before. It always looks so good, so I was eager to try it. Sadly, we were both disappointed. The cream had no flavor and the shell was a little soggy rather than crispy like I had hoped. Oh well, at least the school bread is always a winner!

That Cider & Black looks so good! I might have to stop in for one this summer! :goodvibes

I'm not one for fish tacos, but those look like I might enjoy them. Can I ask if they tasted fishy? That probably sounds strange, but I can't stand fish that has a fishy taste. The slaw looks yummy!

I'm drooling at the thought of school bread...:cloud9:

Those fish tacos are right up my alley! May I ask if they charged you less since you skipped the potato salad? I would much rather have the tacos and get a fruit cup separately or like you, get dessert! :) We thought the creme brûlée was great also.

I am putting the cider and Strongbow on my list for Dec!!!!

They did not taste fishy at all! They didn't specify what type of fish it was, but it was very mild. My guess would be that maybe it's some of the tilapia they raise there in the Land Pavilion.

I didn't pay attention to whether or not they charged me less. I probably should have!

Great start! I'm glad I found your DR when I did. I'm starting to plan for our 2015 trip and it looks like some of the places on your list are on my "to try" list.

Those fish tacos look delicious! In your picture you can see some of the sauce on them was it spicy?

Yum school bread!!! One of my favorites!

We left Epcot got back to AKL around 4pm or so, and our reservation at Boma wasn't until 7:30pm. We were a little hungry, but didn't want to fill up before Boma, so we got a little snack from The Mara. We shared a Barbecue Chicken Flatbread (Tamarind Barbecue Sauce, Cheddar Cheese, Roasted Chicken, Corn, Red Onions, and Cilantro) and a Giraffe Cupcake

The giraffe cupcake looks a little sad because we brought the food back to our room and there was no container for the cupcake, so we had to put it in a paper bag and a lot of the icing ended up on the inside of the bag!

The flatbread was really good! I loved that there was so much corn on it. It had the perfect amount of barbecue sauce to give it some flavor without overwhelming the other ingredients.

The cupcake was good, but the icing was SO sweet that I ended up scraping it all off. The cake was soft and fluffy and there was orange marmalade inside.
