2 Weeks of Food and Fun! June 2014 Dining Reviews with Pics - 7/25 Updated x2

Later that night, we had reservations at the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party, which was another first for us.

Here is my plate from the dessert buffet:

Here is DH's:

The desserts weren't anything too special, but they were good. The fruit was delicious though! It was really fresh and juicy. We were both still a little full from BOG, so we only ate one plate each. Although we definitely didn't eat our money's worth in desserts, the price of the party was well worth it to us to have a great view of Wishes, and not have to deal with the crowds. My only probably with the party was the way some people were acting. There were people literally pushing in front of each other to get to the desserts. I don't get it :confused3 There was plenty for everyone, and I saw the staff replenish them often.

All in all, we thought the dessert party was

:)

We are people who don't enjoy staking out a spot an hour + in advance, or standing in huge crowds, so we would definitely do it again! Next time we'll save more room in our stomachs so we can try more desserts.

That night, MK was open really late (3am I think). Although we didn't stay all the way until park close, it was great being in the park later than usual. The lines were so much shorter than during the day, and you don't have to deal with the hot sun!
Since it had been a while since the dessert party, we got hungry for a snack and decided to stop at Casey's before we left the park.

We each got an order of Corn Dog Nuggets, and shared an order of Ball Park Nachos.

Both the nuggets and nachos were really good, and both were large portions. The nuggets were especially good dipped in the "plastic" cheese :) It was a perfect late-night snack!

The next morning, we had breakfast at Tusker House. Since the photo before your meal no longer includes Donald, we skipped it. Once we were seated, our server brought us some of the delicious Jungle Juice. Yum!

This was my first plate from the buffet:

Clockwise from the top is a mickey waffle, tater tots with ketchup, a Krispy Kreme donut hole, bread pudding with vanilla sauce, and another donut hole. Aaaand I'm realizing now that this pretty much looks like a child's plate. Oh well, it's vacation and we all know you're allowed unlimited carbs and sweets on vacation, right? ;)

This was DH's first plate:

Clockwise from the top is a mickey waffle, biscuit and gravy, bacon, and blintzes with apples.

We each got a second plate, but I don't have photos. If I remember correctly, my second plate was just a few more donut holes :thumbsup2
The food was really good, but I was a little disappointed that were weren't many exotic items on the buffet. Most of it was just normal breakfast food. I expected a few more things with some African flair. The character interaction was really good here, and we enjoyed ourselves. It wasn't one of our most favorite meals this trip, but we would go back. Maybe we'll try lunch or dinner next time :)

Yummy, everything looks delicious! I keep checking back every couple of days in anticipation of a new review. Your list of restaurants is very much my style. :)

Yes excellent reviews indeed! Excellent photos, too! What kind of camera did you use? I'm definitely bringing my GoPro when I go in November. Was there any problem with taking some of those pictures inside the restaurants? Any weird looks?

I'm going with a bunch of friends (we're all late 20's), so this guide is especially helpful for us in terms of planning meals and what looks good, etc. :thumbsup2

Have you tried or done the monorail pub crawl? In addition to eating our way thru WDW, I'm interested in drinking thru it too! What bar/bars would you recommend we stop at?

Keep up the good work!

Really enjoying your reviews and pictures. Thanks for sharing. :flower3:
