2 tickets linked on my MDE - which one will it use first?

Hi all,

My husband and I both have a 1 day MK ticket on our MDE's which we did not use on our last WDW trip in 2014. Our next trip is this December and we have a 14 day UK ticket linked as part of our package. We are at WDW for 10 days before going on the Fantasy and then are coming back to the parks for 1 more MK day before coming home.

We just wanted to make sure that our 14 day tickets will be used first when we enter the parks at the beginning of the trip? Because if it uses our 1 day ticket and then our 14 day tickets start the day after - they will expire by the time we come back from the cruise and we would have to buy another ticket.

Is there any way we can ensure it will use the 14 day ticket first or will MDE automatically use it?

Thanks all - hadn't come across an issue like this before so we are really unsure what to do!

After you check in, but before you go to your first park you must: 1) call 1-407-939-4357 2) Listen for the choice which will get you to the internet help desk. It may say, " My Disney Experience" 3) Anyone at the help desk will be able to help you. Ask them to prioritize your tickets. 4) If one doesn't have an expiration you may ask them to make this ticket the ( Last or First ) one you use. Remember not all tickets are "no expiration" they did away with this feature a year or two ago. **** don't forget you must to this after check in and before entering a park.

We have two park hopping non-expiration tickets with two plus features left over from a trip in 2004. I guard these like they are gold.

Any park ticket booth or Guest Relations location can prioritize your tickets by clicking about three things on our computer. (We see a list of your tickets and can use arrow keys to move them up or down, then we have to hit a Confirm button. It's that easy.) Stop by and see us before you enter your first park, and then upon going through the touchpoints at the entrance, ask the Main Entrance CM which ticket is being used to make sure.

If the wrong ticket IS used by accident in spite of all this, it can be corrected by GR, but you're much better off making sure ahead of time that things are where they belong.

This is great to know. I've added the phone number to my phone list. I have both a park hopper and annual pass and don't want to stand in the guest relations line when we arrive at MK next month. It will be lunch time and we have an ADR to get to. The line at MK's guest relations can be very long. We had to go to guest services on our arrival day last year when our tickets wouldn't work, and it took about 35 minutes. We had two grumpy kids with us, too. I want to avoid that line this time. :)

My other plan was to try to reassign my park hopper to a person in my MDX account who won't be going on this trip. Can the internet guys do that, too?

So does this work the same with an annual pass and a non expiring? Just ask GS to prioritize the annual pass first? Then if we use a water park (which wouldn't be on the annual pass) it would use our non expiring option? Trying to figure out if we want to get an annual pass for our trip in Dec since are going again in Oct. But hubby is thinking he wants to use the rest of the 4 remaining park days in our non expiring pass and save the money.

Good to know.

I still have some non-expiring tickets in my account, but I will probably just get normal tickets on my next trips over the next few years (since it is cheaper (for now) (per day) if I stay longer than 3 days).

It sure would be fun to have these non-expiring tickets 10+ years from now when ticket prices are near $200(or more) ... I can use it and go . ."Wow .. I paid $77 for this ticket!"

I actually just called Disney about this yesterday and the person I spoke with said she couldn't do anything but that I should go to the concierge at my resort or guest relations at a park to prioritize. My plan is to stop by the concierge at my hotel when I arrive and if that doesn't work I'll stop by Magic Kingdom GR that evening after Chef Mickeys :-)

you can tell which ticket will be used first based on which is listed first on MDE.

Here's a question along he same lines, my son and I have 5 park hopper package first week in August, however it also shows (listed 1st) 2 day base ticket for my son. Does that mean he may have 2 day base tickets also? I think I found his last card as last time we went they didn't have magic bands and was going to ask a CM to check. If so then I need to have them prioritized as you guys suggested above to use our 5 days first.

If you want to use a specific ticket over another...
Yes, you do need to have the tickets re-prioritized before you enter the first park.
