2 Separate Reservation Question

I have 5 nights booked at BWV. When the 7 month window opens I'm going to book 5 more nights with my HH account. Will I be able to have the DDP on one reservation but not the other if I stay in the same room?

No.

You need to keep the reservations separate to split the DDP.

And as a practice, if you book consecutive nights in the same resort / view / room size, DVC will automatically link it all together.

The only way to guarantee that you can have the DDP for one portion or another is to intentionally book a different resort, view and/or room size for the second leg of the trip.

I don't think tjkraz's information is entirely correct.

The two segments can be kept separate. They can have different reservation numbers.

As tjkraz said, linking can occur, but it is not necessarily automatic.

You will however have to do another check in if they are not linked together. You would need new key cards for the dining plan or without it if you do dining during your first stay. That could mean that you have to change rooms.
That said, I've never had to change rooms so long as I made BW aware that I was continuing my stay.

Are they two separate Membership numbers, or just different resorts under the same membership?


If two separate memberships, you will likely be able to do as you suggest...but you will need to check-out and back in. Make sure the lead name is different on each reservation. But it still may not work.

If they are simply two resorts under the same membership number, the DVC/ resort system pretty much automatically links them now that they have switched to a master travel plan number that includes all reservations for the same person.
