I wouldn't say a delayed flight means an airline does not know how to fly planes. If your name is on the reservation, you can check in. If it's not, probably not, but you may get a kind cast member who does you a favor.

And just because they don't get in until later does not mean they will lose the room. They need to contact the hotel and tell them they are delayed and will not be checking in until the day after expected, otherwise the hotel has every reason to believe they are a no-show.

Last year I was able to check in for my sister. I made the reservation with my points. Her flight was arriving late at night and we wanted to be able to take her girls right to bed without having to wait to check in. Are your reservations linked together as traveling together? You should be able to do it.

Don't know the answer to the "can I check in for them" question but I would make absolutely sure that both the resort desk AND Member Services know what is happening so the res doesn't get cancelled as a "no show".

We arrived at Disneyland last spring at 0200 Saturday morning for our VGC reservation beginning on Friday, due to multiple flight delays. We did call the front desk to confirm that we were still enroute. It was no problem at all. But I agree with pp, that letting the front desk know is wise.

thanks that's exactly what we did. Had hem all setup for when they finally just got in. Thanks for the advice!

It was a really bad day. They brought in a smaller planes so united picked a random 13 people to not give seats to who had them.y daughter was one. So my mom and dad gave up tshirts for her and someone else. Got re routed to Phili vs Newark and 13 hrs later they finally got there. Just a very stressful day. Out flight was also delayed 6 hrs cause of the smaller plane.

Crazy. Thanks for the advice!

it was a figure of speech. Sorry if I came across literal. Figured someone reading that would realize that.

We r fine all is good. And our magic bands actually worked perfect so far. Magical express. Rooms and charging. We skipped the parks tonight. Just too tired.
