2 kids, 2 strollers at WDW?

We've used 2 separate umbrella strollers for our kids, but we also bought at set of clamps at Babie R Us for about $10 so that we could attach them when there was only one of us to push. It was like having singles and a double when we needed either one.

two years ago we took our double (we had an almost 1 year old and a 2.5 year old)... it was great because they were comfortable in it and it had a lot of storage... we drove down and stayed off site, so the busses and plane were not an issue... but getting on and off the tram thing from the parking lot was pretty bad...

last year, we took 2 umbrella strollers and it was great! no storage really, but we just hung our backpack on the back of the stroller and when our oldest wanted to walk, we pushed the backpack around...

this year we'll do the same...

either way will work, but i vote for 2 umbrella strollers! :thumbsup2

We are taking two mcclaren strollers. I like my double however I'm not going to take that on a plane/bus/monorail...that would be a pain! I'm hoping both kids will walk alot but it is nice to have the option so you don't have to listen to the whining about how tired or how feet hurt or whatever :confused3

We have always taken two umbrella strollers and it has worked rather well. This year I was thinking of getting a Baby Trend sit and stand. Does anyone have experience with these and whether they are convenient/easy to fold? I just miss the storage and cup holders with the umbrellas.

We used a sit N stand for our 3 and 5 yos. It worked great. Another option would be to check out orlandostrollerrentals.com to see their options.

i know most of you will probably take disney transportation to the parks but for anyone who drives you can usually skip the hassle of folding the stroller for the tram and walk to and from the entrance. we did that on 2 trips now , it has never beeen more than a 5 or 6 minute walk and in the grand scheme of things it just worked alot better for us. after all what is another couple of minutes of driving when you are walking 25 miles a day anyway(lol)

I had a Baby Trend single and it was a total POS. Spend a few extra dollars and get a better double.

R we crazy if we do this??? One stroller for each kid since I hate  :headache: my double stroller! That means each of us will be pushing but it could be nice since we have ds3 who will be busy riding most rides and dd9 months who will take naps. Anyone else done this in the parks???

I am going in March and this is exactly what I plan to do as well! DS almost 4 will be in and out riding rides, etc., but DS 8mo will be napping (hopefully! :) ) and I don't want him disturbed every time his brother gets in and out!

Great for at home - loved mine and used it all the time. If you are driving to WDW say use it. IF you are using Disney busses it is a pain. It is heavy and bulky and would be hard to manage on the busses.

Either way have a great trip. We do a light double umbrella stroller (jeep brand) and a single umbrella stroller. We have 3 small children.

Thanks for everyones input!! I think I have decided to definitely do 2 strollers. We will take our trusty Peg that has been with us through both kids for dd9 months and then we will have to get another umbrella for ds3. Might splurge on a Maclaren:) We will see if DH approves ;)

We love taking 2 strollers! Perfect, especially if you need to split up. 2 trips ago, my kids were the same ages as yours. We didn't have a problem with our two - 1 is a MacClaren Volo, another a Capri lightweight. This past trip, we took two, but ended up only needing one in the park.

I am struggling with this as well. My ds just turned 2 and my dd is 4. Right now I am leaning towards the sit and stand. I'm hoping my dd will walk most of the time.

My friend is also coming with her ds(4). We tested it out and the 3 kids will actually fit in the sit and stand in a worst case scenario!

Thats what we did.My kids turned 3 and 2 during our trip. They each had a chico stroller. I wont bring double stroller to disney.

We used a Sit N Stand and it was our lifesaver. People comment on how bulky it was, but we didn't have a problem with it. If possible DH would try to stash it in an unused open space (like where the wheelchair hooks are) otherwise it was just infront of him. No one ever commented about it on the bus. If the bus was crowded standing room only we would wait for the next bus.
