2 free roundtrip tickets

They are good for wherever Southwest flies. Southwest does _not_ fly to Alaska or Hawaii.

Thank you! :)

Trying to figure out where to use our tickets too! Unfortunately, can't be do WDW this year, so must find somewhere cheaper!

I got my card Monday and used it the first time yesterday. Chase's people told me that I'll have exact one year from the day the 2 RT reward is posted to my RR account to use the reward.
So, suppose my billing cycle closes in 04/01 and the reward is posted 04/15, I'll have till 04/15/2012 to use the reward.

Nope. They gave me mine based on the day applied for the card. If yours turns outherwise let me know and I'll "try" to argue with them. ;)

I just got my 2 roundtrip flights posted in my sw account on 3/15 with an expiration date of 3/15/2012. I applied for the card in early February and did my purchase after I got my card about a week later.

havent gone through this whole thread yet...cant wait to because I soooo need a deal for flight or I dont think we can go...:guilty: we are going to have to apply for the cards super fast before this deal is gone

The "2 Free Flights" deal and the "One Free Flight +$500 GC" deal are already gone. The current deal is 20K points with a regular card ($59 annual fee) or 30K points ($99 annual fee) with a premium card.

20K *might* be enough to get you ONE round trip ticket.

Don't be too upset that you missed out on the 2 free RT tickets. RR members are having a very difficult time booking their free flights. You can't do it online at all. Plus, those awards expire in one year and cannot be extended even by paying a fee.

OTOH, the points don't expire as long as you keep earning points and adding to your total. And they can be used to purchase any seat on any flight.

You can purchase additional points if you need them. You need to buy them in bulk with a minimum purchase of 2K points. Here's a link on SWA where you can buy them.

Do you know how much the points are per 2k?

Were'nt they sending dings about the 2 free RT tickets? I think I saw those, I just never paid any attention to it. We are just now planning our summer trip (we were undecided about what we wanted to do) so I missed out on the deal. I did apply for the premier card though, one for my husband and one for me, they were approved so that will give me 60,000 points for $200 (annual fee). I was looking at the flights today and I would need about 65,000 points for our round trip tickets. So I can purchase 5000 points for $125, so $325 for round trip tickets for the 4 of us, still not bad, not free but still alot cheaper. Without this deal it would cost me $1165. Big savings.

I have not yet called Chase, but was wondering if this happened to anyone else.

Applied online through the Southwest Airlines site. It said, if approved, 2 free flights. Approved immediately. This was Feb 27th. Got card about 10 days later and used it.

The card info shows up when I log into my Chase acct (also have a checking acct with them). I logged in yesterday and it does not show my points--BUT yesterday I received an e-mail from Southwest Airlines and it says:

Congratulations! You’ve just earned a free* Rapid Rewards® Promotional Award for travel on Southwest Airlines®. Please log in to your MySouthwest page on southwest.com® to review the usage guidelines, validity, and any booking requirements applicable to your Promotional Award.

When I log in to my Southwest Airlines rapid rewards acct via the Southwest website, it says I have one free flight available.

Now I'm confused? Is this from the credit card, why is it only one flight, and why are there no points showing up in my Chase account online?

Anyone have this happen?

I emailed them about the missing flight (some button somewhere on the rewards page) and they added the flight. I actually received four one way tickets that I was told cannot be extended beyond the one year mark and have only a limited amount of seats available per flight.

Thanks! I'll e-mail them too.

Just got my card in the mail today. I called and activated it and my first due date is May 5th :scared1: I need to move my due date up, what is the soonest I can move it to? Prices for flights are going up!

That's what everybody who signed up for the offer received. Ours expire March 15, 2012. I'm hoping the merger with Airtran gets final approval quickly so we can fly out of Atlanta instead of Birmingham.

Where you able to change your due date/billing cycle? My due date is April 24th and am anxious to book some flights!

I just don't know how far up I can move the due date. I guess I just need to call and ask. I am anxious too.

I'm super confused :confused3

I called 2/23 about the two free flights and was told that I would see them in my account..

Which account? My Southwest Visa card account or my Rapids Rewards account through the Southwest website?

I'm seeing 867 rewards points on my visa account (from a purchase I made) and I'm seeing 250 points (registration bonus) on my Rapids Rewards account.

Where are the two free flights at and which account are they supposed to go into, my visa account or southwest account?

I'm going through this exact same thing. I also received 4 postcards saying that I earned a free flight (4 one ways I'm assuming), but there are no codes or anything to reference. I sent them an email last week, and received an autoresponse that says they'll get back to me in 6-10 days. I'm not in a rush as I don't need the tickets til January so I will wait til next week to call.

It's just very confusing and I keep thinking that this is more hassle than it's worth. I know it's two free round trips, but when I look on their site, there are never direct flights to either Orlando, New Orleans, or Vegas from NJ, and Orlando is only a 2hr 45min flt direct, but they all have stops making them like 5-8 hours.

I got mine- used them-(called on the phone with my screen in front of me,had no issues) and looked,my RR account still shows all those credits in there....strange!even though they're used already....
