I'm so excited, with a little scheming I've managed to get 2 days to myself at WDW before family arrive from Europe, then we'll have a few days together. I arrive on Dec 15 and will be on my own until the 17th, I am anticipating that it will be very busy. My family are not Disney nerds and don't appreciate the "wandering" I tend to do when I have time to myself. When they join me, it'll be attraction after attraction.

Other than being able to wander, does anyone have good ideas on how to spend some relaxed time alone with 2 days in the parks? I was planning to get 3 favorite attractions in on each day through FastPass + but no real ideas beyond that.

Thanks!

If your family is not as excited as you are about WDW, you might want to spend a good chunk of time resort hopping to check out the Christmas decorations. That should be a "not miss" and it is likely that your family won't want to do this. Focus on WDW Resort more than focusing on individual rides.

I would probably take in all the "street" performers at the parks, e.g. the Chinese acrobats, actors in DHS, drummers in AK, etc.

Good Idea! This is a must... Go to the Grand Floridian after 4:00pm hear the band and piano player(they play after 4) see the Christmas decorations there.

Christmas storytellers in all the countries in Epcot
I love wandering through all the shops in world showcase by myself
Another good idea that captures the theme that you should focus more on "experiences, sights and sounds" and less on rides.

Another idea is to go to AK and look at all the details in that park! The amount of thought that went into that park is amazing, I could spend all day there just looking around!

I go to WDW solo a lot. I like riding attractions, but I only plan my first 3 (FP's) then I like to wander around the parks where my feet take me.
I was just at WDW beginning of December...definately love the idea of resort hopping to see christmas decorations especially in the deluxe hotels.
The Gingerbread house in the Grand Floridian lobby is not to be missed. The Swan n Dolphin had a Holiday Chocolate Santa Display with the entire display made of edible materials and chocolate.
I loved the Christmas Storytellers around the Countries of Epcot.

I did three days alone last year before my sisters arrived. My two highlights were walking the jungle trails in AK starting at Rope drop. I had the gorillas all to myself for a half hour! Gorgeous morning. The next day I had Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian. It was very lovely and not awkward solo. Have Fun!
