2 days = 2 parks per day. Is this doable?

I am hoping to get a chance to run down to visit a friend who lives really close to Disney. I can stay with her family for free, and eat cheaply while there. I will only have enough money and time for 2 days in the parks.

I'm wondering if doing AK and HS the first day and MK and EC the second day are doable. I will be by myself, so I won't have to wait on anyone else, plus I won't have any ADA's. I can stop to eat what and when I want, and it shouldn't take up too much time. (I generally eat at odd times anyway, so this will be to my benefit.)

I'm more of a character hunter than a rider. I do like the shows, but most of the rides that I was interested in I've already been on and won't mind skipping this trip.

So do you think this is a good idea or no? What are some tips and strategies you have to help (other than rope drop to close LOL) My main goal is to meet as many characters as I can and see the shows, especially those I missed last visit. And I'm not as worried about meeting Anna and Elsa, unless the lines are short, because I met them last time as well. Same with riding the Mine Train. Great ride, but I did it last time, so if I miss it this time, not the end of the world.

Oh and I'll be going in later April, so hopefully crowds won't be as heavy as, say, summer season. Past Easter/Spring Break time and before schools start letting out.

That doesn't sound like my ideal trip, but it is doable. You know you'll miss stuff, so you'll just have to do what you can do.

I do suggest breaking the parks up differently, though. AK and HS both have a lot of shows, and those take a long time to do. I'd probably use FP+ to meet characters in MK one day, and go to HS that same day. Then I'd do Epcot and AK in the same day. You can get a lot done in the last few hours at AK, so it can be good for the afternoon as long as it doesn't close too early. You probably won't have much to do at Epcot, so you can start there in the morning, then go to AK and start with seeing the shows, then do characters as you get toward closing time.

Only thing I would change is doing MK and either AK or HS one day and then EP with the other "half day" park just because MK and EP are both huge. Not sure how hours will be when you go but you could easily spend the morning at one of the smaller parks in the morning and spend the later nights at the bigger parks

MK and Epcot work with FP+ in Epcot (Rope Drop MK).
AK to DHS with FP+ in HS

The other option is:

MK to DHS with FP+ in DHS (Watch Fantasmic if it is offered).
AK to Epcot with FP+ in Epcot.

Since you are going back in April, I really don't see the need or benefit in trying to go to all 4 parks in 2 days. Leave Epcot off the list and save it for April. It is too big to tackle in half a day, even if you are only character stalking. Go to the MK one day. Then go to DHS and AK on the other day.

My husband and I did a quick two day park visit last year as part of our honeymoon. We were able to do Animal Kingdom in the morning and Magic Kingdom in the afternoon/evening on the first day, and Hollywood Studios in the morning and EPCOT in the afternoon/evening on the second day. We did rope drop each morning and chose FP+ for the parks in the afternoon. Even though we didn't do quite everything we wanted to because of lines (late June), we were able to enjoy the main things we wanted and some we didn't plan on. Given the chance, I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I actually recommend doing Epcot and HS in the same day because you can take the boat to transport between them. Also AK mornings are not too crowded so you could get a lot done and head to Mk at about 1 PM. Then Do Epcot the next morning, and boat to HS (or the other way around depending on if you nighttime show preference).

Because AK closes early on most days and has the least need for FP+ it makes it a good candidate for Rope Drop. MK has the greatest need for Rope Drop due to the number of attractions...

Ok, we RD'd MK, went to AK, then came back to MK and left at clsoing, so the day was 7:30am-11:30pm. It was exhausting, but doable. Could I get up and do it again the next day with Epcot and HS? Might take more stamina than I've got!

It is a really good idea. It would also work really well with DHS->AK->DHS OR EPCOT->AK-> Epcot
