2 day ticket used when we have an annual pass?

We were at Disney in November and DH and I each had an annual pass and a 2 day base ticket attached to our MDE account. Of course we were using our AP's for that trip and saving the 2 day tickets for later. I logged on to MDE today and the 2 day tickets are gone! It says they were last used on November 17th (we were at Disney on that date). We were told at Guest Relations (and while checking in at our hotel) that the 2 day tickets would not be used! Will Disney fix this?

This is an issue with MDE and having more than one ticket per person. The way it's supposed to work, if you had been properly instructed, would be to visit Guest Relations at the park you're going to (outside the entrance gate). Only the GR folks can re-arrange the order of your multiple tickets so that the one you wanted to use was given first priority. Then later in your trip, if you wanted to give first priority to another ticket you would visit GR again for another switch.

In your case, what I would have opted for (at the time of your trip) would be visiting park Guest Relations and having them remove the 2-day tickets from your MDE account, then physically putting them on plastic media that you could save at home towards a future trip or AP renewal. Then there would be no going back and forth and the possibility of the wrong ticket being used.

There've been questions like yours from time to time, and the answer given is to write Disney at their address for comments and complaints:

From what I've read, Disney will work with you to get this straightened out to your satisfaction. At least that is what has been posted here by others. Give them as much info as you can. Your reservation number, dates, resort, your AP serial #s, the 2-day ticket #s if you have them from MDE, your name, address, phone, email, etc.. Good luck.

Thank you for your response! I've contacted Disney and am just waiting to hear something back. I wish I had had those tickets removed! I really just didn't even think about that being an option. It's easy to see how the error happened and I would think easy enough for Disney to look at our account and see that is what happened and fix it.

We've had multiple tickets on our MDE. For future reference for others, check your MDE each night to see that your tickets are still there as it will be much easier to fix this in person while you are still there. I check again the morning of check out before I leave off property.

I had GR do it. It only took a few minutes and I felt it was worth it that if they disappeared later, it was on them. One trip I was in a hurry so we used our AP cards to enter, not our MB and got them in the right order later.

I think having multiple active tickets on MDE is a weak point of the system. Better if you could do something on MDE so only one ticket (of your choice) is in play at the entry gate. You trusted what Disney Resort employees told you. But it's complicated, and only certain Disney Park employees at Guest Relations are knowledgeable about switching the ticket order. Those 2-day tickets are $200 apiece (x 2), so you can't afford to absorb that expensive error. I'd bet Disney is very familiar with this problem, and it'll get fixed for you in a timely and professional manner. They should be able to find your info easily.

To save having to line up in the often hectic front gate Guest Relations, a trick I use is to create an additional "fake" guest in your My Disney Experience profile, and reassign all the (unused!) secondary tickets you don't want to use to that guest, so each actual guest only has one ticket assigned. Then, when you need to use those tickets in the future, whether to make FastPass+ reservations or to actually use the tickets, just reassign the tickets to the actual guests.

The only situation this wouldn't work for you, is if you have FastPass+ reservations that use more days than you have remaining on your primary ticket, and you reassign the secondary tickets to your "fake" guest, those FastPass+ reservations may disappear.

We purchased the 4 day DVC promo tickets for our upcoming March ticket. We also may use one park day off of non-expiring passes we have in our MDE and maybe one water park day. We plan to use the DVC promo tickets to visit the parks Mon-Wed of our visit. We then will go to Universal but may use 1 day off our non-expiring passes on Saturday. If we have guest services remove the non-expiring passes, won't that remove any FP + we set up for a 5th day at the parks?

You can ask Guest Relations to prioritize the order in which your tickets are used. You won't lose any FPs because all ticket entitlements are still linked to each person linking FPs.

You don't have to remove them. Just ask Guest Services to prioritize them so the 4 day DVC ticket is used first.
