2 day 3rd day free park tix

it looks like the 2 day, 2 park & 2 day, 2 park w/ 3rd day free tickets are the same price. why wouldn't one opt for the 3rd day free? is the catch that you have to use all 3 within 7 days - whereas w/ the 2 day, 2 park tix - they never expire? is this correct? we're definitely going to use 2 days within 7 days so i'm thinking of getting the 3rd day free option even if we don't use it - no money lost, right? please clarify for me. thanks.

That's why I bought the two day/two park tickets! I knew we were only going to Universal one day, but we wanted to do both parks. So, we bought the one we knew wouldn't expire. Now, we have one day we can spend in the parks this summer!
