2 Castles, 2 Send out 2011 & Ring in 2012...12 Days of Christmas

Now that I have the trivia out of the way I can check up on all of the other posts you posted!!!

We are watching the Disney Parks Series....and playing that Magic Kingdom board game I found last May?!

Oh that's nice and eating the chili? I may copy the chili part (or I will that will be good in the slow cooker to come home to while marching in the parade)! I am going to find something to do... I have seen a few how to draw Mickey Mouse on the internet maybe we will try our hands at that:confused3

IN CASE YOU EVEN WONDERED....THERE IS A SIZE LIMIT ON POSTS...
hence the reason why all my scoring is broken into separate posts....sheesh you had me working and reading.

Okay... I totally can't hang with Mary Poppins post or Little Mermaid post... without copy/paste... :rotfl:

But I will say Tangled stole my heart. I love that movie and it's currently my favorite... I know it's new and not an old 'classic' yet but just love the storyline, the selflessness and the warm fuzzies you get at the end. :goodvibes

Copy and paste what you want. That is what I did. I read through things and put in what I wanted. There was soooooo much more. I couldn't believe it. I think she didn't want you to just go to a page and copy and paste. Pick certain facts out and paste them in a post.

Monknmom I don't think I ever realized you are from Long Island as well. Took this whole time of doing trivia and reading her PTR to see that. :rotfl: I need more coffee. :surfweb: HAHA

:rotfl2:I honestly saw that you wrote this and looked and you are too:lmao: Yes I live in Suffolk! My Dh works out east and stuff! I don't like it here though- but DH bought the house so we are stuck! At least it's kinda countryish where I am! I don't like the city, but when we travel I say I'm from NY and they say "the city?":rotfl:! And truthfully Upstate is a trip for us! It's the same state but a lot of work to get up there! Do you like it here? The weather is crazy! I was in capris yesterday and today I'm in a hoodie!!!

I love it here but I grew up on Long Island. I wish I could say I want to move to somewhere cheaper but I think I would be very homesick. DH wants to move to Florida one day (closer to Disney) but I am not big on change...haha I live in Nassau County so its more "crowded" than Suffolk but we are actually hoping to move out to Suffolk if he gets a job out there. If not we will probably stay in Nassau. Our trip upstate isn't too bad. My inlaws live about 2 hours away. I consider that upstate enough for me...haha

The weather was crazy yesterday. I was so hot doing chores that I was in shorts and a tank top. It was too rainy when I went out yesterday but I still wore flip flops...haha I like the different changes in the weather here. I think if it was hot all year long or cold all year long I would go crazy. Did you grow up on Long Island or moved here?

I love these statues…and I am hoping to get some good pictures without lots of people hi-jacking my pictures.

The Roy & Minnie Bench is found in the town square as you enter main street from the park entrance…central courtyard. It honors Roy, who was the driving force behind the MK after Walt’s death. He sets with Minnie…a tribute to them both and their supporting roles in making this all happen.

The Walk & Mickey Statue is found in the center hub right in front of the castle…a tribute to both the man and the mouse!

25. Festival of the Lion King

I love the music of the Lion King…and I would LOVE to see it on Broadway…but the closest I am going to get in WDW, so I am going to enjoy every moment of it!

24. Main Street Bakery

MK-Big-Cinnamon-Rolls.jpg

From what I understand Main Street Bakery has some of the BEST cinnamon rolls around…I can’t wait to stand and drool over the display case and then get me a nice warm cinnamon roll…planning on picking up a few as we leave one night for breakfast the next morning when we need to get to the park at RD.

By the way- did you ever tell us your favorite?

You know...I was thinking about that when I posted the last question. And I really do not think that I have one. I love Ariel and would have said that was my favorite. I think my current favorite is Tangled...I just love Rapunzels attitude...plus I think she looks better with short hair. :rotfl: If I had to name a classic...I just don't know there are parts in every movie we have been doing in the last 8 months that I love!

I think what I love most about the movie nights, is that we did something as a family and made some special memories!

This weekend we are doing chili and lemon bars (Walt's favorite desserts were Lemon Pie and Bread Pudding...not fond of lemon pie and if I made the bread pudding I would be the only one eating it...saving all those calories for WDW).

Hey Tammie, I've had company this week, so haven't been online much. I'm still here.

I figured you were busy! There should be a package coming your way soon...and something extra for Anakin (I thought of him when I saw it) and something for Grumpy too!

I just want to say I had so much fun doing your trivia. It kept me busy when DD was sleeping which is a lot since she doesn't like to take long naps but lots of catnaps through out the day. So when I finished with all the chores I had to do for the day I would sit here and do the trivia or do it when I would wait for her to get up for the morning. My favorite was looking up trivia for the movies. I loved learning about certain facts and looking at the mistakes of movies. It is always fun to go back and look to see the mistakes or the hidden Mickey's. Hope you have a great trip in a few weeks and can't wait to hear about it. Now here are some pictures from Mary Poppins movie:

Okay, you are about to make me cry...it it like I am saying goodbye to a good friend with good bye to the trivia...and makes me think that the trip is about to happen, and then it will be over! :confused3

I am so glad that you joined in on my PTR  and had fun playing the game. I am amazed that there was so much that I never caught...the hidden Mickeys, the images from the next movie...

My computer (our family computer) has been hi-jacked the last couple of days by my kids. It sits in the kitchen and I have not been able to get to it the last few days...Ab has been working on her science fair project, Boo has an online program for math his is supposed to work on...and Goo has had good days at school the last few days and has been rewarded with computer time...no time for me. Actually it was a good thing...tonight I finished up my PTR gifts, hopefully tomorrow I can get bubble wrap and boxes...then as soon as the little something extra for the kids arrives I can get them all shipped out.

I just did a somewhat good cleaning of the living room and put up the pictures and knick-knacks in prep for advent countdown starting tomorrow. I hung the advent calendar up with the treasure hunt clues...found our elf on the shelf Kirby...the kids are in for such a surprise starting tomorrow! I will post pictures tomorrow of it all and do some better splaining...my ode to Lucy and Ricky!

Good night my friends!

"All this has happened before and it will all happen again, but this time it happened in London."

Peter Pan

Growing up and still to this day when I watch it I have a girl hood crush on Peter Pan! I don't know if it's his need to saved lost people or his carefree ways, but he has always been my favorite hero/prince charming/ leading man of all the movies. (Followed by Robin Hood.)
Plus Tinker bell is my favorite character of all time. My Junior homecoming dress was even modeled to look like hers. She's just all fire and sass like me. (BTW I got my hair cut pixie style today for my birthday, and it is fabulous!)

Little Know Facts:
~*~The Lost Boys are boys who fell out of their baby carriages. According to Peter, girls are too smart to fall out.

~*~The name ‘Pan’ comes from the Greek nature god Pan, who loved music and played on pipes.

~*~The term “Peter Pan” is in the dictionary. It is defined as “a boyish or immature man.”

~*~In the Disney movie, the melody for “The Second Star to the Right” was originally written for "Alice in Wonderland."

~*~Tinkerbell was voiced by Margaret Kerry. She is now a retired elementary school teacher and being model for Tinkerbell in the movie Peter Pan is the only thing she ever did for Disney.
tink_pouting.jpg

~*~Tinker Bell is misspelled quite often as just one word "Tinkerbell" but in the film, Captain Hook refers to her as "Miss Bell" therefore suggesting that her name is two words, a first and last name.

~*~101 Dalmatians and Peter Pan (Wendy) are the only two Disney cartoon features with both parents that are present and don’t die throughout the movie.

~*~This was the final Disney film in which all nine members of the Nine Old Men worked together on it as directing animators

~*~It was the last full-length Disney animated film distributed by RKO. All of Disney's films after early 1954 would be distributed by Buena Vista, as well as all of the post-1954 re-releases of his earlier films.

~*~Although Walt Disney's Peter Pan wasn't released until 1953, Walt Disney had been trying to buy the right's to the original book by James M. Barrie since 1935.

~*~Wendy was voiced by Katharine Beaumont, who had previously voiced Alice in Alice in Wonderland, and Screen star Hans Conried was cast in the double role of George Darling and Captain Hook, which is a nod to the original play in which the same actor played both roles.

~*~Disney's version of Peter Pan was the first time that a male actor had ever played Peter on screen.

Movie Mistakes!!:scared1: (There we're a ton! I just shared the biggest!)
~*~In the duel at Skull Rock, after Peter leads Captain Hook onto thin air, Hook drops his sword and scrambles to grab hold of the cliff again. But when we see Hook's reaction to the approaching crocodile, you can see his sword back in its sheath.

~*~As Peter Pan flies up to get his hat back from Captain hook in Skull Rock, he stops in midair and has a shadow, and then the picture changes to Wendy, who then says, 'whew' and then it changes back to Peter and he doesn't have a shadow.

~*~In the mermaid scene, Wendy lands on a rock barely large enough to stand on. A few moments later, when she's being splashed by the mermaids, the rock has expanded to about four times its original size, and a seashell has miraculously appeared on it. AND After the mermaids splash Wendy with a ton of water, her hair is wet and you can tell because it is sort of hanging down and drooping. Then they cut away, then when they cut back to Wendy, her hair is perfectly dry. AND After the mermaids splash Wendy, she raises a seashell threateningly above her head and says "If you dare come near me again.". Her mouth doesn't move at all. :scared1::scared1::scared1: This poor scene!!!

~*~ At the end of the film when the "Lost Boys" man the capstan there are four bars on the capstan, however only three boys man the bars, but as the bar turns with the boys pushing it there is no empty bar.

~*~When the boys and Wendy are tied up on the ship, you can see Wendy is with them. In the next two shots when you see them Wendy has disappeared, but in the next shot she's there again.

~*~In the beginning of the movie, when John and Michael are fighting, John has a red bandana tied around his head. When they all rush over to Nana the bandana is gone. Right after that, when he is in bed the bandana is back on him and his mother takes it off.

~*~In the scene where the crocodile attacks Hook at Skull Rock, there is a shot where the croc bites Hook's right foot and the shoe comes off, leaving Hook's right foot bare. In the shot with Hook wrapped around the croc's snout, the shoe is back on Hook's right foot and his left foot is bare.

Peter Quotes:
~*~Peter Pan: Fly, of course (As if we all know how to do that!)
~*~Peter Pan: I say, Captain, do you hear something?
~*~Peter Pan: What a pity, Mr Smee. I'm afraid we've lost the dear Captain.
~*~Peter Pan: Mr. Crocodile, do you like codfish?
~*~Peter Pan: Well, I'm certainly proud of you... you blockheads!
~*~Peter Pan: Girls talk too much!

Hidden Mickeys!!!!
~*~Back of Captain Hook's chair "throne" while he is warming his feet in a tub of water: Mickey's head is carved into the top middle of the chair!!
~*~In Peter Pan, the Lost Boys tree has knotholes that they can dive into. There is one big knothole, and two smaller ones forming the mouse's ears.
~*~When they are on the ship, sort of at the end of the movie, and when Michael puts a canon ball in his teddy bear, there are 3 canon balls setting next to him, that form a Mickey.
~*~When Captain Hook gives Peter Pan the present after capturing The Lost Boys, Wendy and her brothers, Peter pan opens the present. To spot the hidden Mickey, which is black in colour, pause immediately when the bomb explodes after the grey smoke start to come out of the present. There will be a quite big hidden Mickey head in black on the bottom right of the T.V. screen. It happens when he opens the present at 6 o'clock.
~*~At the very end of Peter Pan as the last scene pans away from the house the trees in front of the house in the lower right hand corner make a hidden Mickey. You can clearly see the ears and head in the trees.

~*~Hidden Mickey in Peter Pan's FLight in the CLock Tower Window.

The start of the advent countdown reveal....:sad2: did not start off as I had hoped! I had 1 excited child, 1 tired/out of it child, and 1 GRUMPY teenager (of course she stayed up past 10 pm last night to finish her science fair board since she has 4 basketball games to cheer at tonight and won't be home til late). Maybe this is setting me up for Christmas morning and what to expect as a reaction! :guilty: Now that the tired child is awake a little more he seems more excited...now to fix the grumpy teenage girl!

I figured you were busy! There should be a package coming your way soon...and something extra for Anakin (I thought of him when I saw it) and something for Grumpy too!

That's so sweet, thanks!

Sorry it didn't go as planned. I'm sure once it sets in that they're going to Disney the excitement will set in!!

Thanks for the reminder about the advent calendar. We bought the Lego Star Wars advent calendar and that starts today!!! I would have forgotten.

I'm sorry the excitement hasn't set in. I am sure it will though. I completely forgot about the advent calendar also. I have to put up our Mickey one and the one my MIL got our DD.

Okay, you are about to make me cry...it it like I am saying goodbye to a good friend with good bye to the trivia...and makes me think that the trip is about to happen, and then it will be over! :confused3

 I loved finding the hidden Mickeys. You know I have been doing your trivia since DD was born so it is weird to have it end and to say goodbye to the trivia and you and your ptr...haha Must be the hormones still...haha I have your TR to look forward to though. :goodvibes

Yeah i don't get to Nassau too much other than to travel through to the city or to bring our puppy to North Shore Animal league! No we go upstate to Bolton landing, Warrensburg, Lake George and all of those! I love it up there! I hope that he gets the job! Good luck to both of you!
Yes that crazy weather! And my poor little one was sick at home! I have lived lots of places but most of my life if you clumped where I have lived would be on Long Island in Selden/Coram area! I have lived in lots of other states and the only thing that really makes me like Long Island is there is not too many things to worry about that can hurt you (snakes, big animals, things like that)- except those raccoon and misquitos:lmao:

I love Lake George. Hate driving up there though...haha You are further out than me so you have to add probably another 45-1 hour to your trip. I couldn't imagine. Yes the raccoons and mosquitos are crazy. I am afraid to let my dog outside with the raccoons.
