Saturday's Trivia...Question 2:
In Bambi, what word does the owl use to describe falling in love?
Oooh Oooh Oooh! I'm here on time!

"Twitterpated"!!

Here he is.
owl.gif

And his name is "Friend Owl".

Here's the quote sequence:
Flower: [about two birds fluttering around] Well! What's the matter with them?
Thumper: Why are they acting that way?
Friend Owl: Why, don't you know? They're twitterpated.
Flower, Bambi, Thumper: Twitterpated?
Friend Owl: Yes. Nearly everybody gets twitterpated in the springtime. For example: You're walking along, minding your own business. You're looking neither to the left, nor to the right, when all of a sudden you run smack into a pretty face. Woo-woo! You begin to get weak in the knees. Your head's in a whirl. And then you feel light as a feather, and before you know it, you're walking on air. And then you know what? You're knocked for a loop, and you completely lose your head!
Thumper: Gosh, that's awful.
Flower: Gee whiz.
Bambi: Terrible!
Friend Owl: And that ain't all. It could happen to anyone, so you'd better be careful.
[points at Bambi]
Friend Owl: It could happen to you...
[points at Thumper]
Friend Owl: ... or you, or even...
[Flower looks at Owl shyly]
Friend Owl: Yes, it could even happen to you!
Thumper: Well, it's not gonna happen to me.
Bambi: Me neither.
Flower: Me neither.

I know Goo is going to love this ride! Cars are his life...and speed!

Hidden Magic Tips:
*Sit the kids in the back seat so their faces will show up on the ride photo better...have to remember this one!
*Many of the pictures in the queuing line are relatives of the attraction's designers.
*See if you can find various toys based on Disney movie characters scattered around the workbenches...and they move throughout the day thanks to some mischievous CMs.
*The first mile marker on the ride reads....M00. :rotfl:
*When you enter the heat chamber, look to the left...someone is making breakfast with two eggs frying on the heat compressor.
*In the cold chamber, look to the left...icicles grow upward in Epcot.
*In the corrosion chamber, look at the bottom of the robots...notice what thier ID letterings spell out....

Sorry you have such a busy hectic week but I'm so very happy that you are now working with teachers who are loving and appreciating what you are giving to them!! :cool1:

Your cabin sounds like heaven! I just can't believe Thanksgiving is NEXT week! I remember thinking once we get through with Thanksgiving travel, I can start packing some luggage up. :yay: It's all but time to start doing that!!!!

I agree! I am sorry about your week! But think you'll be relaxing and cooking pretty soon here!

Ann, really? I have a feeling we might end up with at least two rooms if this is a 2013 trip!

Art of Animation has the new "family suites" with a Queen bed, a double sleeper sofa, and two twin sleeper chairs. I have no problem being in a sleeper chair. I sleep in a twin anyway! Plus they have to bathrooms, and I think a kitchenette.

I'm seriously still cracking up about the idea of all of us on a joint PTR. We could start it after were all in the :sad1: months after the new year after we all get back lol!

Oh my Ann.... you are too funny "If you'll have me"! It will be fun I think!

Yes that would be nice a joint PTR!

Sorry I have been lax on getting trivia posted this week? Not sure what is up with me on this?! :scared1: Maybe I am working on that dang list. I might surprise you this weekend and put up several questions during the day. :thumbsup2

FYI I am going to end this game November 30th...my PTR is going to me just me talking to myself for much of December while you are all gone on your trip and I am waiting to go on mine! Plus starting the 1st I am going to let you experience the trip reveal adven countdown with the kids each day.

That will be fun! To see all of the stuff you've been working hard on when the kids see it! I am looking forward to the nights also! It will be a lot of lights like the city, but I am sure a TOTALLY different vibe! And those waffles do look yummy!

I have also been told to be on the lookout for the cream cheese filled type (MK-Launching Pad) and in Animal Kingdom-Africa (cart near KS) for the jalapeño stuffed version!

Sunday's Trivia:
In honor of Mickey's Birthday...wow me with some facts about him!

Sunday's Trivia:
In honor of Mickey's Birthday...wow me with some facts about him!

Walt Disney designed the character while riding on a train back to Los Angeles with his wife Lillian. After completing his sketch, Walt showed it to Lillian and said his name was Mortimer Mouse. Lillian did not like the name and suggested Mickey Mouse. And so was the birth of Mickey Mouse.

Mickey's first film was Plane Crazy. After the loss of Oswald the Rabbit, Walt and Lillian Disney and Ub Iwerks, worked in secret on the film in a garage behind Walt's home on Lyric Avenue.

Mickey Mouse made his debut in Steamboat Willie on November 18, 1928, at the Colony Theater in New York.

The original voice of Mickey Mouse was Walt Disney.

Mickey's first words were spoken in 1929 inThe Karnival Kid.

The first merchandise to feature Mickey Mouse was a child's school tablet in 1929.

Mickey was originally drawn with circles for his head, body and ears. In 1939, that design was changed to the more pear shaped appearance we see now. Also, pupils were added to his eyes. The first film Mickey appeared in with his new features was The Pointer.

The 1935 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City was led by a fifty-five foot high Mickey Mouse.

The League of Nations presented Walt Disney with a special medal, in 1935, in recognition of the fact that Mickey Mouse was "a symbol of universal good will."

Mickey's first appearance in a feature film was in 1940 in Fantasia, where he appeared in his most famous role as the Sorcerer's Apprentice. His image was modified for this feature film debut to include eye pupils and a more three-dimensional appearance.

Mickey's greatest honor came in 1944 when the Allied Forces, under General Dwight D. Eisenhower, prepared to invade the continent of Europe. The code name for the invasion was: Mickey Mouse.

Between 1928, Steamboat Willie, and 1995, Runaway Brain, Mickey Mouse starred in 120 films. However, there was a 30 year gap between The Simple Things in 1953 and Mickey's Christmas Carol in 1983.

Walt Disney provided the voice of Mickey Mouse until 1946. Jim Macdonald took over and was Mickey's voice for 3 decades until he retired. The current voice of Mickey Mouse is Wayne Allwine.

According to Walt Disney, Mickey and Minnie Mouse have never been married on screen. But, in 1933, during an interview with Film Pictorial, Walt said, "In private life, Mickey is married to Minnie... What it really amounts to is that Minnie is, for screen purposes, his leading lady." Two years later in 1935, he told Louise Morgan in the News Chronicle "There's no marriage in the land of make-believe. Mickey and Minnie must live happily ever after." The discussion of Mickey and Minnie's wedding has been fueled by the 1932 film Mickey's Nightmare in which Mickey falls asleep in the armchair instead of meeting Minnie at the local dance. Mickey dreams of being married to Minnie and is surrounded by numerous little Mickey mice. Then in 1935, a cover for for the sheet music "The Wedding Of Mister Mickey Mouse" shows a picture of a beaming Mickey, dressing in a tux, leading Minnie, dressed in a veil, from the church to the happy cheering of Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow. This music was a Novelty Fox-trot with music by Franz Vienna and words by Edward Pola with special permission by Walt Disney.

A 90 minutes television show aired on November 19, 1978 to celebrate Mickey Mouse's 50th birthday. Guest appearance on the show were made by: Gerald Ford, Billy Graham, Lawrence Welk, Willie Nelson, Gene Kelly, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Edgar Bergen, Jodie Foster, Goldie Hawn, Eva Gabor, Anne Bancroft, Jo Anne Worley, and Burt Reynolds.

The Runaway Brain was made in 1995. Dr. Frankenollie transplants Mickey's brain. The name of Dr. Frankenollie was inspired by the famed animators Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston.

Mickey Mouse's favorite sayings are: "Gosh!" "Oh boy!" "That sure is swell!" "Aw, gee..." "See ya soon!"

Mickey Mouse is the offical greeter of Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

I love the stuff you came up with...did not know the allied invasion code name was Mickey Mouse! And Mickey was an unemployed actor for 30 years!

Yes Mickey's name was changed by request of Walt's wife, BUT the name of Mickey was actually taken from Mickey Rooney. Mickey was in the building at the time on a visit, he walked into Walt's room and viola! Mickey Mouse!

The password to the invasion at Normandy was "Mickey Mouse."

Mickey Mouse was originally drawn using circles -- for head, body, and ears. The Pointer, in 1939, was the first cartoon that featured a drastically new design for Mickey. His body became more pear shaped than round, and pupils were added to his eyes, making them more expressive. In the early 1940s, animators gave him perspective ears -- shadowing them to give a three-dimensional effect -- but this change was short lived. Later changes consisted mainly of costume changes, taking him out of his red shorts, for instance, and putting him in more contemporary clothes.

In all Mickey Mouse cartoons, no matter which way Mickey is looking his ears are always facing forward. You never get an ear profile.

Mickey is back in the Macey's Thanksgiving Day Parade as of 2000!

Walt Disney, from 1929 to 1946, provided the original voices for both Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Since, only two others have had the honour; Jim MacDonald (1946 to 1983) and Wayne Allwine (1983 +).

The only Mickey Mouse short to receive an Academy Award was Lend a Paw, in 1941. The irony being that Mickey wasn't even really the lead role, since the main star was Pluto. Despite that, Walt Disney had already picked up an Oscar in 1932 for the creation of Mickey Mouse. Throughout his career he managed to amass a total 22 of these prestigious trophies - more than anybody else ever has.

Mickey Mouse was the first ever cartoon character to talk. In the 1929 episode, The Karnival Kid, Mickey's first words were "Hot dogs!".

Mickey has a huge wardrobe, packed with no less than 175 different costumes. Minnie goes one better, having been dressed in over 200 outfits throughout her career.

The irony of Mickey Mouse's creation is that Walt Disney was in fact scared of mice. However, he pictured mice as sympathetic creatures, despite people being scared of them.

Monday's Trivia:
What are the two dogs names in Sword & the Stone? Who is their owner?

I'm too lazy to look up the trivia.

But back to the pretzels. Have you tried the cream cheese ones at the MK, or the jalopeno pretzel at AK?

I've tried the cream cheese. I wasn't too impressed. There's no salt on top. Making it kind of dry in my mouth. But I know people here who rave about them. They are found at the quick service with the hotdogs under the Astro Orbitor.

The jalopeno pretzel (I think they might be bites, don't remember) are on a cart between dino land and Asia, closer to Yak and Yeti though.

Then there are the pretzels at Norway in the bakery! They look and smell so good. They are drizzled in glazed icing with or without almonds.
