Hi there.
First time post.
Travelling to Dis from Australia.

We normally go to holidays to WDW.
But after having a baby we haven't made the trip in 4 years.

We are planning a family vacation next May, possibly end of April to May for 5 nights.
Taking a 4 year old and 2 grandparents with us. Once in a lifetime for us all to go to Disneyland together.

Please has anyone experience the 2 bedroom options at GC, DLH or PP?

We are after a comfortable stay for all of us,
I understand that Good Neighbour hotels are cheaper and some closer , but I would really appreciate feedback on these suites or even the DVC villas.

Thank you in Advance.

We stayed once in a 1 bedroom suite at the DLH. It was 2 queen beds in the bedroom part and a queen-sized pull out sofabed in the living room part. DH and I slept on the sofa bed and it was more comfortable than our bed at home. seriously, it was heavenly.

We have done two bedrooms at all 3 hotels and GCH was my favorite for location, but PPH was by far my favorite for the size of the room. It was huge!

I didn’t love our one at DLH, but there was a mess up with out room, so I don’t think I can give a true opinion on it.

We did the DLH one. We had two bedrooms each with queen beds and a pullout in the living room. We really liked it for the 9 of us. Also nice a nice kitchen area and 3 bathrooms.

Thank you so much already.
Is anyone able to possible disclose prices roughly that they paid?

Do not go by what someone paid in the past.
See what the rates are for current times.

With StarWarsLand I expect on-site rates to be high.
Book early when you know your dates. The number of suites is limited.

Good luck

I have stayed in a 2 Bedroom Suite at GCH and also various Villas at VGC.
A 2 Bedroom Villa would be a great choice and will likely be cheaper than any onsite 2 Bedroom Suite.
You will need to research the process of renting a Villa, usually done through a third party broker.

A 2 Bedroom Villa has these features:
  • 2 bedrooms
  • Master with King bed
  • Guest with 2 Queen Beds (dedicated) or 1 Queen and 1 fold out sofa (lock-off)
  • Fold down Murphy bed and fold out sofa in living room
  • 3 full baths
  • Full kitchen: full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, cookware, plates, utensils...
  • Master bath has tub with jets and separate shower
The floorplans:

You will need to book at least 7 months in advance, but 11 months in advance if you want a lock-off.
DVC rentals are usually non-refundable.

The DVC forums here on DIS boards are a good place to start your research.
The VGC Superthread is also very informative.
