Day Three has come and gone and many people are sunburned beyond belief! The weather was slightly cloudy - high thin clouds that did not filter the sun to a great degree.

Around lunchtime, we saw two whales off the rear of the boat! We could see them blowing from the blow holes. They weren't very close but we were sure that was what we saw!

I had the well-being massage bright and early - 8 AM!!!

When we woke, we were waking a full hour earlier. We switched to Atlantic Time. Take that into consideration on the Eastern if you're booking spa appts for the second sea day.

Day three was my day of rest and relaxation. Had my massage, tanned for a while, slept on the deck 4 chairs for a while, then prepared for the Castaway Reception.

Our dinner was in Animator's and as usual, the show was terrific!

Zoran from Hungary and Pema from India are doing a superb job in the restaurants!

Zoran mentioned to me that he would be able to call home last night when the boat would pass nearby to St. Thomas. He uses Sprint (USA) cell service. Anyone with Sprint phones should have reception for a little while the night before St. Maarten and then again while at St. Thomas.

We went to the late showing of Hercules. It is my least favorite of the three shows.

When we exited the show, many characters were available for autographs and photos. The scheduled characters were Lilo and Stitch and Cinderella. However -- we were surprised with Wendy Darling signing autographs as was Snow White and the Queen of Spades (I think it is the Spades).

Before the show, Cinderella and the two mice were taking pics.

Exit the theatre quickly to lessen the line for the characters!

It was off to bed early for us since our excursion departs at 8 AM. Well -- wasn't early to bed for my 14-yo-dd - she came in at 2:30 from hanging out in the teen club. They had a pool party last night along with other fun.

Courtney is definitely dragging this morning!

Well -- I'm off for our snorkeling excursion. We're doing the Pinel Island Snorkel. It appears the day will be sunny!

Thanks for your day #3 report!! We have signed up for the early seating for dinner, our dd's are 8 and 11. Do you think we'd be better off at the later seating? They are very mature(8yr old) for their ages! Is the early seating really noisy? Thanks! Have fun!! :wave2: :sunny:

If your children are more mature, then you should have no trouble enduring late night seating at the restaurants.

I'm a beliefer that you children behave the way you expect them to!

Happy Cruisin'

Hi there Lisa!! Yes, my 2 dd's really like to get "formal"! Our neighbor's are on the same cruise, so we requested to sit with them at dinner. They have a 16yr. old dd, so maybe they will want to change to the late because of the noise level! I was also wondering if we do change to late, will my dd's miss the good activities in their clubs? I was trying to locate a recent navigator for ages 8-9 and 10-12 to see what activities were offered during the evening! If you could pick one up for the St. Thomas day, I'd appreciate it!( WE are looking to book Palo that night). Thanks again, and have a great trip!:wave2:

Barb's site has a current navigator available for the teens. I believe the addy is castawayclub.com.

I'll see if I can get some info for you.

Thanks photolisa! If you can get current kids navigators ages 8-9 and 10-12 that would be great. Don't worry if you can't!! Just enjoy your trip!!:sunny: :wave2:

lisa thanks for the information witht the spring phones. we have 2 of them and cant wait to make a call or 2 from st thomas. thanks

I am enjoying reading your reports, I can almost feel the warm sun and smell the sea air. We had Pema as one of our wait staff when we sailed the Magic, Eastern, in March of 2003. She was so sweet and we fell in love with her, if this is the same Pema. Our Pema was female and so sweet, real dark hair and eyes, and wore glasses, sort of quite. Is this the same one? She was working with Clive from Jamacia(I know that spelling is wrong)!
They really made our first cruise special. If this is the same Pema, please tell her hi, from Danny and Brenda Morris, we were sitting with a lady and her teenage daughter. I know she probably won't remember us, but tell her hi anyway! Thanks!! Looking forward to hearing more about your trip. We are booked for March 2005, Western. Can't wait!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Photolisa,
How did you enjoy the Pinel Island trip? I am hearing mixed reviews.
