2~2~12* Dream a Little Dream With Us!

Mickey Bars are those chocolate covered ice cream bars on a stick like they sell at WDW--only on DCL they are "free". How nice will it be to want one and not be my frugal self.

As I understand it--Dress for dinner in the Main Dining Rooms is cruise casual. No shorts and flip flops, or tank tops. Jeans are okay as are t-shirts (I assume you mean nicer t-shirts?). I don't think there is a formal night.

What I have planned is a pair of capris and a nice top one night, dress slacks and a nice top for another, and jeans and a pirate themed top for pirate nite. I may bring a dress in case the mood strikes me to dress up for one night. It's rare that dh and I are in the same photo.

If you have dinner in Palo or Remy there is a more strict dress code there. Check the web site to be sure.

From DCL's official FAQ:

On 3-night cruises:

One cruise casual night—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops
One pirate or tropical night (deck party)
One "dress-up night"—jacket for men, dress or pantsuit for women

But as per MANY Dis threads, a lot of people pay no attention to the "dress code."

FYI: On the 3-night, the "dress-up night" is the final evening. They start collecting the luggage right after late dining ends.

Do we need send our luggage on the last night or can we take it off with us when we debark?

LOL - If you can carry it, you can take it off the ship yourself. Just be aware that elevators can be hard to get on debarkation morning. ;)

Hello everyone!
I just want to remind everyone to print out their email with everyone's room numbers. Also, please remember that Adkins561 has a different cabin number now. She sent an email out to everyone on January 25. Please let me know if anyone has any questions.

Thanks Taswira for the dress code info. I didn't know about the Jackets. I bought a dress to wear and then thought I would not need it but am happy to know I won't be out of place if I do.

My DH has lost 65 lbs this year so I'm guessing his Jacket does not fit. He hardly ever has occasion to wear one so he hasn't gotten a new one. Maybe we will just have to fix that!

Thanks, I don't know if I want to struggle down stairs with luggage so will probably just send it.

Mostly posting because I want to see my countdown ticker with so few days on it! :lmao:

I'm doing all my last-minute things to get ready. I'll head off on Wednesday to go to taswira's house, and then on Thursday to the Dream!

I can't believe we are almost there, that it's finally this close.

We leave Wednesday after I get off work around 1:30. Mad dash home, load car and go! It's about a 5 hour drive for us so we hope to check into our hotel in Cocoa near 95 and then have dinner at Florida Seafood and visit with our friend who is driving us to the port Thursday.

So excited I can barely stand it!

I'm finishing up last minute laundry. I'll leave for taswira's place tomorrow - and then for our cruise on Thursday!

I am only 1 1/2 hr away from the port and I've been packed for 2 weeks now. Leaving at 9 am in the morning....CAN NOT WAIT TO GET THIS PARTY STARTED.

I am going to leave for taswira's house soon. I'm in the process of packing. Just double-checking all the items on my list to make sure I have them, and that everything is in order. Or really triple-checking as I already had checked all my documents, passport, etc. long before this.

I can't wait! :woohoo:

Don't get here before 3 Holly. My mom has seriously slowed my last-minute prep! ;)

Posting from 30k feet on the plane. We can't wait. Got upgraded to 1st class on the flight. The magic has already begun!

Safe travels everyone.
