2~2~12* Dream a Little Dream With Us!

Hi guys... We (DH/my mother/3 DDs/myself) booked this cruise a few days ago & will be joining you also :)

yup! We are bringing our 11yo and 14yo sons... :scared1:

Ah, good. We are not alone!

Sorry, we won't make the meet and greet, fellow cruisers. :sad2: I am not getting off work until 2:30 :teacher:, so we won't be on board until after 3:00. Luckily, I work only 10 minutes down the road.

BUT:

You can all say "HELLO" to my DH when boarding the Dream. He is a gangway operator for the Port Authority and will be working the Disney terminal that day! He is the tall, British man standing at the top of the gangway. :cool2:

Hello everyone!
My husband and I will be on this cruise with our 15 month old baby girl. Very excited, this is our first cruise. Does anyone have any tips or advice, packing advice or anything about cruising with a baby?
Also, has anyone or is anyone staying in Orlando the night before in a non-Disney resort hotel and having to arrange their own rides to Port Canaveral?

Mears and Cocoa Beach Shuttle pick up from the airport. If you are staying at a "non-Disney" hotel, I would ask the concierge for their recommendation. There are LOTS of transporation companies that shuttle between Orlando and the Port/beaches.

Oh, and repack the suitcase.........you don't need as much as you think! LOL Congratulations on your first cruise:yay:! DCL is a great start - NO ONE does it like Disney!

Thank You ItsAllDisney for the advice :) I will look into the shuttles when we get to our hotel. It's getting close! 1 week everyone! We leave in less then a week to get to Orlando. Where is everyone from? I see a few are from the Orlando area. We're from Ontario Canada.

This is our first DCL and we did the guaranteed verandah and hoped for the best. We got the room # and it is a 4A on deck 9 midship. So far it looks like a good location...so far so good!! Only a few more days to go!

May I suggest a 2:30pm meet and greet at "Bon Voyage" located on Deck 3 in the main atrium?

I am looking forward to meeting some folks from on here since I am traveling alone.

Kevin

Looking at the replies received to the suggested 2:30pm time, it sounds like that might be a little too early. What about either immediately following the muster drill, or after the 2nd seating dinner/late show (whatever time that would be - someone experienced w/ Disney cruising can chime in here).

It has been my experience the after Muster Drill is a hectic time with everyone wanting to get to the Sail Away party. Most of the ones I have been to have been between 2-ish and 3-ish. I am game for whatever thought. :cool1:

DH and I are in Tallahassee, the Florida State Capitol. Also home of the FSU Seminoles.

But, he was born and raised in Cocoa Beach, a product of the space race building boom in that area. I lived there off and on and then was there 1981-1987 when we married. We both Graduated from Cocoa Beach High School in 1984. I love that area and if there were well paying Jobs in DHs field (IT), I'd be packing to move back! lol!

We definately would like to meet some folks on the cruise. It's what I enjoy most about travelling, especially at Disney. Meeting folks from all over is what makes the experience for me. We have no real plans so whatever the concensus is, we'll do our best to be there.

Hey beeTeacher! I'm Kevin and I'll be in 10076. Hope we get to meet on the cruise! :-)

Hi guys... We (DH/my mother/3 DDs/myself) booked this cruise a few days ago & will be joining you also :)

Welcome! We are bringing our two DD's......10 and 12. Are yours near their age? It is always fun for them to hang out with other tweens.

We are coming from Nova Scotia and leave on Tuesday for Orlando, I am hoping for good weather Monday and Tuesday.

We are connecting through Montreal so I have been watching their weather as well. I don't want to get stuck any where along the way.

Gilsan--it looks like you will have some nice weather in Orlando. I also looked at the 10-day for Nassau and Castaway Cay and if it stays like it is now, we're in good shape. Might be some rain along the way Thursday though.

Still not packed. Trying to eliminate some of the things in the pile.

The big question now is which cruise to rebook? I'm eyeing the March 2013 Fantasy to Puerto Rico...

My Dsis Amanda and I (Annette) are booked on this trip as well. This will be our 2nd time on the Dream but have taken numerous voyages on the Magic and Wonder.

My bday is Friday 2/3 and I will be 42 but I plan on celebrating like two 21 year olds :)

More new people! :welcome:

And just in case no one has noticed:

ONE WEEK FROM TODAY WE'LL BE ON THE DREAM!!!

On the 1st half of our b-t-b, we're meeting at 10pm (after 2nd seating/late show) at Skyline. Does that work for this group?

Wow triplets!

My daughter is 6 I am glad there will be some girls in her age group on board.

We can make that one! Dinner first at Palo and the kids should be busy at Edge. Hopefully, more people can make it too.

My DH and I are having a dispute about the clothes for dinner. I've read several places that no jeans, no t-shirts are the rule. Most people said khakis and polo shirts would be sufficient. However, my DH has read that on the 3 night cruise there is a resort casual, pirate, and semi-formal nights. I haven't heard anything about a semi-formal night which would involve a sport coat or such. So, is there? I was planning to pack the resort casual attire and that's it.
Also, I thought Mickey bars were like a candy bar. DH says he thinks they are ice cream?? I know this is petty but...we just can't wait much longer to get outta here!!!! :cool1:
