2/02/2013 5 - Night Bahamian Cruise, Miami FL on Wonder

Welcome aboard AmberJennings and family! I have updated the FE group and I am extra excited about it today, as my mom and I have been working on the FEs for the trip all weekend :scratchin

As for meeting up on the first day, I would like to propose that we meet at the Promonade lounge after the safety drill - what do you guys say?

Kids made their and their grandparents FE's last night!! They are pumped!! This is their first cruise and they have so many questions. 25 days until we leave our house woot woot!!!!!

Awesome! Thats such a great way to build excitement for the cruise! We were making FEs this weekend too, is it February yet?! :hyper:

Is the Promonade lounge good for kids? If so, that is great for a meet. I sent a request for the FB group.

Do we have any update on the FE gift exchange? How many are in, how many kids (so far)? What's our cut off date? We leave a few days early so I have to have them done by about the 28th at the latest.

I just posted about a sale on autograph supplies at Michael's going on this week! Check it out!

OK, I should have made sure there weren't posts I didn't see before I posted this! Sorry. So I see where we are so far (including 8 confirmed cabins, including 14 adults (7 women and 7 men) and 10 kids (including 5 girls and 5 boys) = 24 people in total).

Our cabin number is 7062.

But did we throw out an actual cut off date? Whew...I gotta get crackin'!!

Does anyone in this FE Group have any food allergies? Like peanut or soy or something like that? Still thinking about what I want to do so just thought that might narrow it down!

Colleen

Looking forward to meeting everyone!
First time cruising, but I thought that deck party was right after the safety drill, or have I got it wrong??? :confused3

We should definitely pick a cut off date, I have some ideas for FE gifts, but need to know numbers! Only a little over 3 weeks to GO!:cool1:

Our cabin number is 6055.

I (finally) checked our group in online today! I know this ship isnt nearly full, but I was still surprised to see that only one check in time was unavailable - on our past 2 cruises, even when we checked in at the 120-day mark, the first few check in times had already been blocked out. But here we are, 28 days away from sailing and only the first slot was unavailable.... one of our rooms is a concierge room, so we are going to check in at 11am anyway, but I was curious how many of you had completed check in and what your arrival/check in times are?

I'm SO glad to hear that!!! We are still waiting for our passports to come back (they expired at the end of February... didn't want to chance it), so we can't check in yet. Getting antsy!

since there is so little time left and people are still adding to the group, what do you guys think it appropriate? Friday Jan 25? Or? Anyone?

I imagine you can probably check in using the "government id and citizenship" option, and then when your passport comes in you can go online or call Disney and have them change it? That way you could get your check in out of the way and secure a check in time...?

No no, you had it right, I just looked at my most recent Navigator (from our cruise in October) and the deck/Sail Away party is right after the safety drill. How about 3:00pm then? I asked Brett (DH) and he reminded me that on both of our Disney cruises our groups have met at 3PM - it seems there is very little scheduled at that time, as a few people are still checking in. But by that time lunch will be over and the rooms should all be ready and with nothing on the schedule, this meetup will make a nice activity for our group....thoughts?

I was thinking more like the 18th or 20th at the latest. If it is the 25th then I pretty much just have the weekend and my kids will be home. Right now, this WHOLE vacation is a surprise so I am trying to figure out how to get everything made while they are at school or playdates, or after bed!! Plus, after we get the number then ppl might have to finish shopping. Thoughts?

I agree! I need to have some time to get things together, Right now I'm planning in my head so I'll have a lot of running around to do once I know the numbers and makeup of the people in the FE group . we leave early on the 30th.

Sounds good, and the meet at 3 PM sounds good too.

. I just about fell over last night when my (introvert) DH asked "do they have a meet up on these cruises... all these people you've been chatting with? I think that would be good. " I had been trying to figure out how to bring the subject up, thinking there was no way he would want to go!

I had the same feeling yesterday when my husband was the one to recall the time of our previous cruise meet-ups and reminded me that they had taken place before the safety drill!!
