We're planning a trip, 11/2 - 11/10 of this year. Me, DH, DD 13, DS 13, DS8. The only other time we've been is Christmas week 2002. VERY crowded and chilly! How's the first week of November in comparison? Thanks in advance everyone:bounce: :Pinkbounc

The crowds are great, its a wonderful time to go as everyone is gearing up to go for Thanksgiving. We love going this time of year, actually we go mid May and early-mid Nov. The weather can be iffy temp wise. One day we were in shorts and it was hot - the next day cold air came in and it got into the 50's and 40's at night. The GF was wiped out of sweatshirts! I would not call it very chilly, but cool. We also go there just before Thanksgiving ( I mean just b4, The Thanksgiving crowd is checking in as we are leaving - Yikes!) So you should have much warmer weather, I would pack a pair of jeans for everyone and clothing that can be layered such as t shirts and long sleeved shirts and a sweatshirt, just to be on the safe sideespically if you do E Ride Night. On a happy note, when the weather got cooler, it was beautiful....The sun was shining and there was not a cloud in the deep blue sky. I took the most beautiful pictures, they look like postcards. The sky was cloudless and the crowds were light - a photographers dream! I wonder if that's when WD photographers go out and take pictures, on days like that! You will have a great time early November!

the weather was awesome. Sunny and very comfortable during the day (wore shorts) and at times a little chilly in the evening (but we were OK with a sweatshirt of light jacket.) It only rained once right before Spectro and the parade did go so that being said, I think it was a great trip weather wise. As for the crowds, we were a little disappointed as it was Jersey Week. In my mind I was thinking Jersey is such a little place, how crowded could the parks actually be? Well, in comparison to Christmas week I guess you could say crowds were rather light, but we always go off peak and could not believe how crowded the parks were. None the less we had a great time and really tried to use FP and met a lot of great people.

We were there this past Nov, the same week you mentioned. The weather was absolutely beautiful. We definitley wore shorts everyday, and were comfortable in jeans and short sleeves at night, but also carried a light jacket or sweatshirt just in case. I remember our last day there, we actually wore shorts to the airport because it was 87 degrees out and we couldn't stand puting on our warm clothes yet!!

In regards to the crowds, there were NONE. I've been going to the World with my parents for over 15 years and never have any of us seen the serious lack of people that we experienced in November. There were literally no waits on rides with the exception of the major attractions, and even then, if we stood in line for more than 5 minutes I'd be surprised.

We had a great time and are planning to go back this year to catch MNSSHP again and some beautiful fall Florida weather :)

Edited to add: Luckily, we just missed Jersey week!

But keep in mind - this year the New Jersey Teachers Convention is that week. It is always busier that week since all schools close for 2 1/2 days, and some close for the entire week.
It is unofficially known as 'JERSEY WEEK' at WDW.

Thanks for all the replies :D Seems like weather wise we should make out great. Jersey Week has me a little nervous, but it can't possibly be as busy as Christmas week? We were facing 2 1/2 hour wait times that week and they even closed MK on Christmas Day! Can't be as bad as that, right?? PLEASE say it aint so:(
Thanks again

It's not bad during Jersey Week - just keep in mind that Priority Seating may be busy. We have been there in August, for Christmas Time and NJ Teachers Convention.
August was the worst, in the heat and humidity and tons of people. Week before Christmas was busy, but the weather was perfect. Of the 3, our best week was NJ Week, longest wait about 20-30 minutes at the haunted mansion.
We will be there from Nov 1 thru the 8th...
Trying to find out if MNSSHP is still on for Nov 1st.
have Fun

billvack,
Thank you! I feel MUCH better now:D I'll be sure to make all my PS ahead of time. A 20 - 30 minute wait is nothing for us Christmas Vets!! Sounds like I've picked a good week this time. My family was ready to kill me over Christmas. I knew it'd be crowded but I never thought it could be as bad as it was:rolleyes: Live & Learn! Thanks again everybody. Now if we can figure out a way to speed up time, I'll be good to go....and some good codes for that time would be nice too! Oh well, not asking for too much am I!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc
