Publix is pretty good; at least it was whenever we've gone. If you can do a car service, and you don't mind taking time out to stop at a store, you can do that. I think there's one right near the gate near Disney Springs. There's a shopping plaza near there with a grocery store and some restaurants (including the best Hooters we've ever been to...they have a Mickey shaped table and the wings were delish!)

@Candycane83 - Publix is a nice grocery store. Their produce is wonderful.

The last 2 trips we've taken, we used Garden Grocer and while the simplicity of them is nice, we never need the amount they want for a minimum order. With Amazon Prime/Pantry, I can get the things I really do need, in a reasonable amount without paying more than we'd want and/or need. I'll definitely be shipping diapers down there, along with disposable sippys/mats/utensils. I'll pack enough diapers for our stay at BCV.

Thanks guys! I think I will just pass by on the way to Universal (so unfortunately, it won't be close to the one at Disney Springs...) I think this is a good way especially since I hear the car service is willing to do it for 'free'. (includes in whatever they are charging as long as you request it)

That's actually how I got my F! At H&V. I saw on the app that there was a 4:25 at H&V, so I went over to the Disney website and it ended up showing up under Fantasmic packages! Worst case, I'll get a FP+ for F! if I can't get the package I want. I just trust that it'll all work out in the end!
I think an 11am flight should be enough time to get over to FW for HDDR. It sounds like an awesome way to start off vacation! We're doing the opposite and ending our vacay with it.

This is what I'm a bit worried about!! The app is so much easier! So... Check the app...see a time! Then , go on MDE under fantasmic packages to see if that time shows up?! If it does, great!! H&v! Holiday dine package!? If it doesn't show up under fantasmic , then it's just an h& v dinner?

I 100% understand your rationale. As much as I love, Love, LOVE Disney, it does not seem unreasonable to my mind that once we are essentially needing to make ADRs, we should also simultaneously have all info necessary to make an informed decision. It's a tricky undertaking when we don't have all the pieces of the puzzle! I'm more than happy to help look! I want to change my regular H&V into a H&V with F! but I'm utterly paranoid about dropping it to pick it up as a F! Congrats on your HDDR!! Woot woot!!

@Candycane83 I had mentally let HDDR go and we were all geeked about SOA, yep! BUT (there's always a but)....

HDDR was my first love!! haha It was the very first thing I looked for ADR wise so maybe it's silly, but I was all attached to the idea of going. I was so sure I would never get it because there was absolutely no availability when I first began looking (past 180 day mark; no idea about ADRs being held, that people cancelled all the time, ect.) and I was so disappointed. Given the recent developments (and all the fun talk about it!) now I'm thinking maybe it would be a great way to start off our trip? I did have Epcot planned. IllumiNations is so high on our list this trip. Our flight has us landing in Orlando at 11 (thought it was noon, but it's 11 a.m.). Would booking the 4:00 HDDR allow us plenty of time to fully enjoy that experience and then get over to Epcot for maybe a couple of rides and then IllumiNations? Assuming the flight is on time. Just in case, I went ahead and booked it for arrival night. Have to fit Coral Reef in though, so I'll be performing the ever-popular juggling act again!

That's a great way to kick off the trip! I think 4pm is enough time to enjoy HDDR and Illuminations! I'm thinking of doing this on the 9th or 10th... undecided yet as usual! And I forgot to mention earlier, congrats on getting your H&V ADR!!!

Hi yes I can FP Cinderella /aurora and Rapunzel /Tina but that burns 2 fp (and the third might be Ariel). So the SDFP is important to me (we established cards work for this if you don't have mbs right). Merida has no fp. Neither do Mulan (epcot), Snow White, or Alice (all on the must do list).

Yeah, and I think as long as you go into your touring knowing you want to meet the princesses, makes it heck of a whole lot easier. I know with one of our MK days, it'll be mainly focused on characters. DD1 LOVES the them and she gets super antsy waiting in line for them. In Epcot, it's easier to tour World Showcase knowing there are characters around for her.

Try checking back in exactly ONE HOUR from when you first tried to get it. This exact thing happened to me with a CRT and it worked!! GOOD LUCK!!

I believe breakfast and lunch are called "Play and Dine". At 3:00 p.m., dinner at H&V is called Minnie's Holiday Dine. Whether you have F! package or not doesn't change the name I don't think. If you search under the F! Dining Package, you'll get the package. If you search under Hollywood and Vine and make your ADR that way, you'll just have the dinner (Minnie's Holiday Dine) with no F! I was on my phone yesterday when TP alerted me of H&V availability. It was quicker for me to get to H&V instead of checking the F! route. It's such a frantic moment trying to secure that ADR...I just went with what I thought was fastest. As @areno79 mentioned, fast pass can also be done with H&V to accomplish essentially the same goal. I think that is the route I'm going to take.

@Mintycake I won't do Mission Space either because of my motion sickness. DH did it once and won't do it again because of it (even though he doesn't have issues with motion sickness normally.)

@SilSprBea That is such a bummer!! Keep checking it though. The other day I was trying to pick up something that another DIS'er cancelled and it took around 5-10 minutes for it to show up on my end.

@rasadkowski I may be wrong, but I don't think you can book a Fantasmic package on the MDE app...at least I couldn't figure out a way to do it. I bookmarked the Disney website/ MDE page on my phone and do my searches through my phone's Internet browser. The other option I've heard, is that if you have a regular H&V res for before 4:30 and you cancel it and go back into the website, it will automatically show up as a F! Package. You could always call Disney directly to see if you could switch your H&V dinner to F! if it's early enough too.

Uuuhhhh uh oh!!! Does this ride give a lot of people motion sickness?! I'm totally avoiding soarin for that reason

7DMT is too bad when it comes to motion sickness. The ride is very short and that helps a lot.

I avoided Soarin" for a very long time, then finally decided to try it. The only time I felt a little motion sickness was when the film did one of those swooping down things, and then I just closed my eyes and was fine. The ride part of it just lifts the people up and tilts slightly to match the film. There is a fan blowing air in your face, which really helps prevent motion sickness. There aren't any wild gyrations to the ride vehicle, so the only thing that would give anyone motion sickness if viewing the movement on the screen. A fear of heights is probably the biggest reason to avoid this ride, since your feet dangle.

I'm hoping he does not get motion sick on any ride at WDW I will have to remember to bring those bags...

The small roller coasters like Barnstormer and Big Thunder Mountain are probably alright. Dumbo might be fine. 7DMT isn't too bad, either.

I am a bit worried about motion sickness too on Mission Space. I hear green is less intense?

I am claustrophobic and when the doors shut and the panel moved forward, I almost had a panic attack. I was so busy trying not to freak out that I didn't even notice if it gave me motion sickness.

Saturday morning 12/10 at 'Ohana for 6 people. Prefer mid or late morning since it's our departure date.

Drop just drop the reservation... pick another that forces you to cancel. By doing this it forces the one you are cancelling back into the system immediately. Apparently when you just cancel it may or may not go back into the system immediately.

I fear this is what happened when Talby tries to pass me the BOG for 12/5...

Yeah, when I canceled my PPO BOG to pass to @areno79 the other day, it took it a good 5 minutes to get back in the system. We were both scared it had gotten snatched!

This whole thing is weird. I just successfully passed an 'Ohana dinner to @areno79 and all I did was cancel it. I think she saw it pretty much straight away. I have this sinking suspicion that someone else and I were trying to grab the 'Ohana one at the same time. I kept checking for 2 hours and it never appeared.

When trying to transfer, I just wish there was a way to know if it were back in the system, held up or snatched up by someone else! The not knowing is what is particularly frustrating I think...like MAYBE it's still there, so I'll keep searching every few seconds for the next hour just in case!!
