***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I've read there's a wine store in Germany, maybe they have it there? I think their Biergarten thread the @Lisa F started said that you can have a wine flight there. I'm guessing they'll have other options.

I think the Yule Log is a cake/ dessert. They have it at the bakery at AK too. Check out this for eats around EPCOT during the holidays (where I got my info, hehe): http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2015/12/03/eats-at-epcots-holidays-around-the-world-2015/
oh crap. this is gonna have to happen. I wonder if any of those will count as snack credits?!? what the butt? is this kind of like a mini f&w festival? so many things to try!!!!!!!!!!! CINNAMON ICE CREAM AND CARAMELIZED PECANS. OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Great minds think alike! :rotfl:
mine is just a list. yours is food porn. I had no idea they had this stuff. I mean we were already going to do the ice cream place at france and the caramel place at germany (the caramel kiss will happen!)

Lol! I think there is a DDP snack icon beside the menu. It is like a mini f&w which is why I was so excited about Epcot ;) I've been compiling a list for a while now and I stumbled on that as I was researching! A lot of them are DDP snacks but not all, unfortunately.

edit: I think the macaron ice cream sandwich in France is considered DDP snack. One of the other things I'm looking at too. Too much ice cream, hopefully it's warm enough in December :)

by the way, anyone going to Universal Florida during their vacation? Just wanted to share, they are opening up a new restaurant at citywalk called Toothsome Chocolate Emporium. Desserts look amazing ;)

no such thing as too much ice cream.

Whoa!!! Now I'm both hungry and ready for a cocktail! :sunny:

We have no planned snacks..... but lots of ideas. I don't want to plan those.

@LisaF I'd love the link for the Vera bags... I love her stuff and have more than I care to admit.

No plans for bug spray here, just morning sunscreen.

@woodnymph I live the string bag idea and may just borrow it!

I ordered my three yellow SDFP MBs, a dress, a hoodie and a couple of t-shirts yeasterday.

I'm a bit worried with the recent reviews of the SW Fireworks that it's going to be crowded. But I figure here are enough of us in this thread planning on that night, we can all looks out for each other and grab some prime spots. :jumping1:

Lol yes but it'll add up when you go to the dessert party. hmmm maybe DH and I could just share one. Haha! I haven't drank in a while so I'm not sure what shape I'll be in when I start again. I usually have ok tolerance but I'm guessing after not drinking for so long I wouldn't recover as well as before. DH and I have a date night late August with wine pairing so I'll see how we fair there... Then I could start planning what booze to have at Disney! Lol

Speaking of lists, anyone has a snack list?
I have these on my list:
Dole whip @MK
Ample hills ice cream at the boardwalk
Hot chocolate at Amorette
Cronut ala mode at refreshment port
Anything from karamel kuche
Salted caramel drink from Germany Xmas stand
Yule log from France Xmas stand
Carrot cake cookie from sweet spells
Cupcake from Contempo Cafe
Gingerbread shingles from GF
I am not much of a sweets person except for ice cream.

I don't know HOW we are going to fit it in but my child is insisting we stop at flame tree bbq for pulled pork cheese fries. I guess if we share one it should be ok? lol I have TH breakfast at 9:45 and Y&Y at 3pm which is already closer than I'd like, lol. I am not a dole whip fan but am planning on
Ample hills
the salted caramel drink
ice cream macaron, and the cinnamon pecan ice cream and prob the yule log too from france, lol. maybe the kid will share with me
nutella waffle at MK
ice cream cookie sandwich at mk
will be bringing back caramel popcorn and other caramels from Karamel Kuche
will let the kid make his own snack at goofy's candy co
flavored popcorn at epcot

Great list! Forgot about the caramel popcorn from Karamel Kuche. Caramel Apples (plain and covered with nuts) are also DDP accepted.
With 24 snack credits I really need to research what's accepted with DDP! (not to mention what's worth it with that) LOL!

yes, i think you have to plan a little but you do not need to have 1-1:15 snack here blah blah lol. I just know I will be in germany for dinner and we will grab some treats to bring back to the room. Have you read the ziploc trick for the caramel corn? apparently keeps it fresh for weeks. we have 16 which is still quite a lot. The only thing i really have planned for those (that I am targeting) are:
-karamel kuche caramel corn
-ice cream at france (maybe twice, so many things to try - want to try the macaron and want to try the seasonal flavor. maybe they will have a seasonal macaron with the seasonal flavor? i think they usually do peppermint which is not high on my list for that)
-cheeze pork fries at flame tree.
-funnel cake for the kid
-make your own snacks at goofy's for the kid

Yes, I've read that too. Planning on bringing a few ziplocks for my son's stuff so I guess i could just add this in. (another thing to add to my list for my park bag, lol)
Yup, I just have a list of stuff I want and will probably just go get the snack whenever we pass by the area.
Still trying to play around with my reservations but I think I'm pretty set. The only thing I switched was Coral Reef and Garden Grill. I guess I could do Coral Reef at 11:40 and order one entree to share so we'd be hungry enough for H&V at 4:30. Oh of course waiting for an earlier BOG on the 8th but Ohana works ok there too... Maybe we could use burn some snack credits at MVMCP.

Ohhhhhh so much deliciousness! How will I ever choose! I want to try all 3 of the drinks in Germany! and the Yule log looks amazing! I have exchanged a QS meal for 3 snacks before at Karmel Kuche, but I wonder if we can do that at the holiday stand....hmmm Oh and that sandwich in Canada! How will I ever try it all??? I agree - totally food porn!

i wonder if the crab fondue would be for two on ddp.

honestly I am thinking of being a total oink oink and ordering the soup OOP and another appetizer. Or wondering if they would give it to my kid in a kid size for his appetizer and stealing it lol. They say soup of the day but not the lobster soup. the calimari looks really good too and I'm not a fan of the legs so might leave those behind, lol. I am planning on the shrimp and grits which does not seem like a huge meal so I could probably swing it.

or the salmon with mushroom risotto, also not huge:

We need to do a Dis meet up and grab a whole load of snacks and share, just so we can try everything! :rotfl:

Oh wow, those both looks really good too! and this is why I wanted to do this another day! LOL! hmm... or maybe i should just risk Garden Grill at 11:30 and H&V at 4:30. I honestly don't eat too much at buffets (no matter how good the food is and DH always says I never eat my worth)... Hmmm...

Hi everyone! Totally random question again, sorry :) but what do you think would be a more "unique/vacation meal" like experience? Kona or yak and yeti? We are At the poly if that helps! I know they're totally but different, but is one more memorable than the other? I wish we could decide last minute based on our energy level at the park! But, oh well. Thanks :)......btw..... All the bags sound gorgeous! And the snacks delicious!!

I personally have been to Kona about 10 years ago... I liked it enough but it didn't make a very bog impression? (not much ambiance but food was ok?) I have Yak and Yeti on my upcoming trip :) I think you should try reading some reviews to see which menu would appeal to you more. (both are on the asian side) Ambiance wise I think Yak and Yeti is more different.
