***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

We have my parents who are coming in on Saturday 12/3,
and they wanted to see it. It was the only time we could fit it in. The other option is for them to stand by and see the 430 show. We'll see how it all pans out.
I was just curious. I am not opposed to doing things twice. I barely have time to do everything I want to once but if I had more time I would be doing MVMCP twice I think!

I know everyone is sharing their plans but no one has shared their booze plans, lol. Here are mine

african starr mojito at Sanaa (first night after travel, gonna need it lol)
sugar cane mojito at the dawa bar in AK
yet to be determined cocktail before dinner at CA Grill (maybe wine with dinner)
an avocado margarita at La Cava (maybe more than one type)
Grapefruit Beer at Biergarten
Reisling with dinner at Narcoossees
lapu lapu at tambu lounge/ohana (though I may sub this for another drink as it is very big and very strong and not the favorite of most people - i think some of the other drinks taste better!)
sangria at HDDR

I am budgeting for one drink a day basically. this does not include the dessert party, if I do that I will probably skip the mojito in AK. I love mojitos but bf makes an awesome one lol

speaking of bags, most of the time I will carry around a backpack. It will have extra magic bands (both spares/clones of the ones we are wearing and SDFP), id, some cash (never leave home without either) and my disney visa card (in case MBs don't work), sweatshirts for us, autograph book and water bottle. I will apply sunscreen in the morning to my face but that's about it - it's december so the sun is not super intense. Will wear sunglasses and maybe a hat but maybe not. I did last time.

in the evening after CA Grill, Narcoossees, Ohana and H&V (basically all the times we will be at the resorts before dinner and then off to dinner) I will just carry the purse with extra MBs, money, id, credit card. Will wear sweatshirts and i'll buy water as i need it in the evenings (which will be less than during the day i'm guessing, especially when sometimes we're just doing fireworks and not walking around much).

Also this backpack happened last week:

@jillyh and anyone who loves the veras, this is the "campus backpack" which is the perfect park bag. it is nice and light and has front pocket for autograph book and pens, inside the main space pocket for ID, cards, cash, other little items. Disney discontinued a lot of the older vera patterns and they showed up at the outlets in florida. $125 backpack was $50 there, I got mine for $66.42 shipped. Let me know if you want me to send you a link to my seller, she must have bought a bunch and then is selling them on ebay. She also has the blue pattern, which is calling "disney dreaming" and she has lots of different ones to choose from. "placement" (where the pattern lays out" is very important to purse people and I like this seller because she posts actual items that allows you to pick your placement. I am not affiliated with her just happy with my purchase. And I NEEDED to purchase it because I had so much stuff I was losing track of it. right? So I needed my park backpack NOW so I can keep it all together. yeah, that's it!

I carried it the other night when we went for fireworks (my town does amazing fireworks in the summer. not disney but still nice. the boyfriend was looking at the map and discovered a small beach that most tourists don't even know about that seemed like it would have good sight lines and it did! So we went there and I described it to my kid like the difference between watching the fireworks at the contemporary and on main street, lol. It was awesome because they are not as loud and the beach was sparsely populated by locals. but I digress!) just a bonus fireworks show. I am super jazzed by how well my phone (which will also be carried in the bags sometimes) takes fireworks shots. It's the galaxy s7 which I upgraded to mostly because of its better low light camera. I can't wait to shoot disney fireworks!

Lisa This is my bag except mine is a blue color scheme. Thanks for the heads up! I'm going to check out the vera bradley outlet here, and online!

I think the disney ones are only at the florida outlets. Not vera or online. boooo. ebay is my only source lol. You already have the backpack? awesome choice!!!!!!

Ha love this. Dh and I are not big drinkers but will indulge at the SW dessert party. And some tiki cocktails at the poly date night. Dh may have a beer or two at a TS restaurant but honestly we don't recover as well from drinks anymore.

Love this! I have not planned this one out yet. Was thinking about grapefruit beer at Biergarten but maybe will save that for next time if we get the star wars dessert party that night. I wanted to try a margarita from la cava. Is the lapu lapu that strong? Was considering that too but if its that strong it might kill me before MVMCP. Maybe I can do the 'un-fun' thing and order a virgin. Lol!

Can I ask a totally unrelated question? Is there a way to continue receiving all the messages and replies without having to open each new email and having to click on view thread after reading it?

grapefruit beer is NOT boozy at all. 2.5% alcohol. It tastes so good I just have to not get a liter because that will not be comfortable to carry around the rest of the day. I should be drinking water by the liter not juice/beer blends! i just posted about lapu lapu and alternatives on the restaurant board. maybe we could share one, lol. I get tipsy very easily but metabolize it very quickly and it feels out of my system in about an hour so I figure that is about the length of dinner. I just would rather drink a "this so so yummy and smooth I could pound back 10 of these and get hammered" than "this is the drink you buy your hot girlfriend when you take her out" ;)

first, unwatch the thread. then go back and watch it but select the option WITHOUT emails. Then when you go to your "alerts" at the top of the page you will get a notice when there are new posts or people reply to you but it won't go to your email. That said sometimes the alerts stop working. So you will have to find the thread manually and see what you missed. If you keep posting you will keep getting notifications though.

that's why I think 1 a day is good. You can indulge in something tasty and disney but without it negatively affecting your day. If I'm gonna get hammered it's going to be to make my "5 cosmo gravy" (I make the gravy every thanksgiving at my boyfriend's family's house and usually it is after about my 5th cosmo during cocktail hour... though they are small, about 1/4-1/3 of a shaker and served over ice... but still pretty sure my gravy is best when I'm feeling no pain lol) not at disney when I am solely responsible for my child hundreds of miles from home. And they say I'm not a great mom ;) no monorail crawls for me (this time)

But ONE cocktail/glass of wine/grapefruit beer in a day is not overly indulgent! though if I do the SW dessert party I may have to sample all of them. it is paid for!

I drive my husband nuts sometimes with my organization. ;)
Mine too. He doesn't want to know about any planning. He thinks that because I am doing all this planning it's not a vacation and he thinks it's not worth the trouble. I get frustrated because I'm doing this for my family and not feeling appreciated.

Lol yes but it'll add up when you go to the dessert party. hmmm maybe DH and I could just share one. Haha! I haven't drank in a while so I'm not sure what shape I'll be in when I start again. I usually have ok tolerance but I'm guessing after not drinking for so long I wouldn't recover as well as before. DH and I have a date night late August with wine pairing so I'll see how we fair there... Then I could start planning what booze to have at Disney! Lol

Speaking of lists, anyone has a snack list?
I have these on my list:
Dole whip @MK
Ample hills ice cream at the boardwalk
Hot chocolate at Amorette
Cronut ala mode at refreshment port
Anything from karamel kuche
Salted caramel drink from Germany Xmas stand
Yule log from France Xmas stand
Carrot cake cookie from sweet spells
Cupcake from Contempo Cafe
Gingerbread shingles from GF

I've read there's a wine store in Germany, maybe they have it there? I think their Biergarten thread the @Lisa F started said that you can have a wine flight there. I'm guessing they'll have other options.

I think the Yule Log is a cake/ dessert. They have it at the bakery at AK too. Check out this for eats around EPCOT during the holidays (where I got my info, hehe): http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2015/12/03/eats-at-epcots-holidays-around-the-world-2015/
