***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Hello everyone! Popping in to say hi. It seems most of you guys are less than 30 days now. How exciting! The Disney stork is starting to drop Magic Bands in your mailboxes so it's getting real close......finally.

@DisneyBelle27 congrats on the Savor the Savannah tour. I'm jealous!!! I really wanted to experience a tour at AK but everything is 8 years old and up so that would mean DS2 is a no go. Hope you have a great time!

@Candycane83 I totally agree with the little guy being a freebie! My first thought a year ago when this trip was just an idea was that I DID NOT want to bring a toddler to DW. I told myself when DS is totally done with diapers then we will go. But I does make sense to do it now before he is 3. I did a rough estimate of the extra cost of paying for a 4th person and it adds up quickly!!!

In other news.....I have a confession to make. I booked another extra. This time it was Illuminations dessert party. I think I might have a dessert party addiction :confused3. I know we were talking about this one, oh about 100 pages ago and it seemed like a good one. I was considering the Illuminations cruise but I kind of felt it was too expensive for what they're offering. So just tallying up my "extras" it seems I've gone a little overboard.
-MVMCP (not really an "extra" because if your there in December I consider it a must-do. But it does cost "extra" so I guess it qualifies)
-Illuminations Dessert party
-Club Villian
-JBJB dessert party
-Holiday wishes dessert party
-Carriage ride at Fort Wilderness
-2 cakes

I'm really looking forward to them but I think I need an intervention at this point. Maybe I should have someone change my MDE login info. and not tell me what it is until the morning we leave for Orlando.

On the bright side. I'm really not much for shopping so I been able to resist the urge to over do it on the Disney related clothes/gear. Someone please tell me I'm "normal" and everything will be ok.:goodvibes

There's a part of me that wishes we would have done this trip two months earlier because DS would have yet turned 3 and would have been free! Our trip would have been almost $500 cheaper that way, but the timing of a december trip was better for us and hindsight is 20/20!

Couldn't agree more about the December timing. We've never been at Christmas time and I'm looking forward to the holiday atmosphere more than anything!

What's with all of this recent talk about losing lbs. before your trips?

I'm eating MORE now in an effort to stretch out my stomach. When I'm at Disney, I'm a "consumer". And I plan to consume as much as possible.
:rotfl2:
Hey I've been eating chocolate for breakfast lately so I'm in practice for the dessert parties and holiday snacks! :thumbsup2

I actually booked and cancelled the illuminations party :rotfl: I had it one day but after reading the article on holidays around the world, I decided against it ;) I figured i would rather spend my many snack credits on that and stake out a spot ;)

I think it's perfectly normal not to shop before a trip... I really think I need to stop too! Lol!

I think christmas is the way to go too! Does your DH like Xmas? Hopefully the festivities would help his mood ;)

I don't believe that for a second! :rotfl2:
I haven't bought many Disney clothes for this trip. We just bought some shoes for those who needed them, but that's about it. Oh, I had to get my youngest a few things because she grew over the summer so I purchased a 3-pack of Force Awakens t-shirts for her from Amazon and picked up some shorts off clearance racks to go with them. I think that's really it. Oh, and a couple Santa hats with Mickey ears we found at Big Lots the other night, but that's REALLY it!! lol

That's funny. I have actually been thinking about cancelling the Illuminations party. I know there were good recommendations here on the board and it seems like a good value, but I'm back to thinking we should just snack around the world at out own pace.

I've bought way too much Disney stuff before this trip including clothes for all of us and a Vera Disney backpack for me.

For as much as I complain about DH's attitude, he is being a good sport and agreed to some new Disney shirts i got him. However, he is pretending the xmas bah humbug Donald Duck pajamas I bought for him don't exist. I liked them because we have the Disney coordinating set for me, DS and DD (the boys is Mickey/Pluto, girls is Minnie, women is Minnie/Mickey). I thought the bah humbug was fitting with his general Disney mood, plus he hates Donald Duck with a passion (can't stand the voice) so I really liked the irony of the phrase on the pajamas. I think he'll wear them because DD really wanted him to have matching pajamas with us.

We have a Disney store plus an outlet that keeps my bank account lower than where I would like for it to be. A trip gives me the excuse to find cute things for the girls.

***** Another Question *****
For those wearing makeup, what do you wear in Disney?

I have dry/oily skin. I still break out in my t-zone so I have to be careful with how much I put on my face. Right now at home I wear moisturizer, BB cream, water proof mascara, and some lip gloss. Every now and then I'll add eye shadow. In Disney, I usually just wear the BB cream, as it has SPF 30 in it. But, when I look at my pictures I just so bad! I'm definitely wearing the mascara every day.

My make-up regime is sunscreen! And maybe some lip gloss. Oooo, and sunglasses to hide the dark circles from staying out too late on MVMCP nights!:cool1:

Lisa F...I see you saw I got my Micky Pants sundae answer! The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor here I come! Sadly, I have to fill it with something dairy free...but smother it in hot fudge and I will eat just about anything!

I'm a no makeup girl - although my daughter did recently introduce me to BB cream which is pretty amazing. I will probably take it with me. We are planning afternoon breaks so may "freshen" up before heading out for the evenings and add the BB Cream

@Party.Of.4-NY>>>FL ..... Where do we sign up for the Disney extras addiction meeting....:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

We have 2 MVMCP, 2EMM, wishes dessert party, JBJB party, twilight Safari, club villain and ummm a wishes cruise on arrival night..:blush:

I have booked and cancelled - Illuminations dessert party and aqua tour.

I'm definitely not the person to help with the 'extras addiction'.
It's just what happens when you wait nine years to go. And this is your eldest's last year under your roof.

I have not done a ton of trip shopping we each got three t-shirts and a hoodie. Some light necklaces, graduation ears for DD and a couple of Mickey ear Santa hats...

I'm a light makeup kinda gal... Nice soft moisturizer, eye liner and lipstick.

What BB cream? It sounds intriguing

It's Beauty Balm that has moisturizers, sunscreen, and a tint to it. It's much lighter than foundation, and it's a great thing to wear in the parks.
