***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I'm hoping Disney Quest will still be open during our trip! I'm expecting it to be cold and would be a great indoor activity. We'll be doing Disney Springs on our check out day, hoping to also fit it in after Fantasmic on our HS day.
Is it still open? I thought I heard it was supposed to close already? I would like to check it out if it's still there. I've never been!

It is as of now. There isn't a set closing date. So I'm hoping!
Also- a Sprinkles opened up in Disney Springs!!! So now of course I must get a cupcake, and a shake from Ghirardelli. I'd rather split those between 2 visits lol.

We're planning 2 visits but the first visit is when I would have some snack credits left and I want to visit Goofy's as well as sprinkles and maybe Amorette's! Ghiradelli sounds good too... The new kiosks sounds pretty good too... Aristocrepes, yesake and there's one that sells sausage and another that sells poutine? So many choices so little time!

I didn't even know about those 2! Oh my goodness, I'm going to weigh 986.4 lbs after this trip. No joke. I'm frightened. I brought Shakeology packets and my blender cup with me last time, brought my laptop so I could do Insanity workouts in the morning. Never touched the Shakeology, never logged on to my Beachbody account. Not even bothering with it on this trip.

I've lost an extra 5lbs in preparation for my upcoming cruise later this month. I always do this, preemptive strike against the imminent weight gain. But for our Nov/Dec trip, I don't think there is an preemptive striking against what's to come. :(

mine either and I got laid off from my architecture job (crash of 2007, he was born in June 2008) so I was unexpectedly home with him and not inclined to force the issue. I ate a big variety while nursing and offered him a big variety including lots of ethnic foods but then taste and texture preferences kicked in and now he is picky. Stuff he ate happily from 6-24 months he won't touch with a 10 foot pole now. I'm pretty sure if you're kid is not picky you just got lucky. The BF has two kids, one he has to force to eat salad, the other doesn't like sweet or treats and prefers salad. Both raised the same way. But it's great that you take his preferences and run with it and are teaching him healthy habits because I think those preferences can be undone by a childhood full of crap food!
Yes this happened too! We eat a big variety of food at home (except for meat) and DD used to eat everything until about age 3 and then she got super picky. I try not to worry because I was picky at her age as well. We are really lucky in Canada to have 1 year mat leave (you get paid about 40% of your salary) - I don't know how American mums do it going back to work so early, it makes me sad.

Same here! So happy I had the entire year not worrying whether I have a job to go back to. I went back when I had to at exactly a year after.
On the pickiness, I am hoping DS remains open to food... I remember how hard it was to feed me and my sister, especially when we were sick! I cringe now!

Lol, I think the preparation will help! But it's a vacation :) I was hoping all the walking would offset it. On DH's first trip in 2012, it didn't do anything though so he said he's going to gain with my plans of having DxDP this time around! Mind u, last time we went was food and wine festival so it really didn't help!

I want to get healthier before my vacation too.. the better shape I am in, the easier it will be to do all of that walking. but i'm so tired all of the time :-p I need to get back on it, 6 months to go!

I'm not a coach so I'm not saying this to gain clients- but I LOVE Beachbody!!!!! I don't have time to go to a gym so I use the videos and work out 30 minutes per day at home. You might want to check out their website, they run specials all of the time.

I'm a fan of 21 day fix too! I need to get on it. Maybe we should have a separate group for that?

I was doing it for a while but I think my hormones are messed up again :-/ 8 weeks and nothing much was happening. I am waiting for my endocrinologist appointment, at the very least my thyroid is out of whack again but I think I also have adrenal fatigue, which means hard workouts is more detrimental than helpful. I need to find some kind of walking and yoga plan I think.

but back to food on vacation, lol. I am thinking of doing Sanaa on my AK night. I think my kid would go gaga for the bread service (there is more than enough to share... if anyone wants to join me I'll share with you too, lol). Right now I have yak & yeti booked but as I explained before, can't get excited about it. For some reason I keep going back to Sanaa. I know it means leaving the park but....

too bad nothing til 6:35, which would prob be too late to also do RoL. boooo

Aww well keep checking, I'm sure something will pop up in the next 6 months, lol! I wanted to try Sanaa but DH said no... He prefers yak and yeti... :P

really? waht does he like there?
i have a 9:45 TH and a 4pm Y&Y and a 5:05 Boma. Not sure I want to do TH & Boma in the same day. but maybe! Kiddo was requesting Boma. I just don't know what the heck I want to do, lol. maybe just keep y&y and not overly complicate things. Do boma for breakfast later in the week.

this is the problem with overthinking.

He said he likes the menu better... I think it's because he knows I don't particularly like Indian food. I told him I wanted to try it but seems like he's adamant his answer is no.
Is Boma good? Right now, I have a ressie for Tusker House on Dec 6 for breakfast and a lunch ressie for y&y. I'm dropping one for sure but I want to find a later TH dinner on Dec 3 first. Maybe I should do Boma for dinner on the 3rd instead and TH for breakfast on the 6th... Or wait for a later TH dinner on the 3rd and do a Boma breakfast on the 6th... Overthinking

They will probably release more TH dinner when they release the packages for RoL. I have a 4pm Y&Y and now that would just be the easiest to keep. what does he like to have there? too bad the tuna nachos are for two, that sounds best to me lol. Originally I was planning to go back to MK on the MVMCP day but now I am planning a down day so I should probably plan to do the whole day at AK so we can get everything in and not waste time traveling all around and if it's just that stinky jungle book show at night we can leave when we are done and see Illuminations that night.

I have not been to Boma in many years which is part of why I want to go but it is similar to TH (but better). enough basic stuff for the kiddo but enough interesting flavors for me. He went with his dad and wants to go with me. Right now I am holding a 7:20 ADR on the night we arrive as well, I am just all over the place. I love their breakfast buffet, it was the first place I ever had a hot quinoa breakfast cereal before quinoa was in, and they have a grilled asparagus and tomato that I love. Basically, brunch is my favorite meal so if I can get something a little more lunch-like and some eggs I'm a happy girl. I am not really a sweets person but I do like a bite or two of something sweet at the end of my meal - I will probably end up pitching 3/4 of all desserts I order at any sit down TS meals but at a buffet I can have a mini dessert or a bite each of two ... I actually find buffets to be less wasteful because I don't try to "eat my money's worth"... I just serve myself and eat what I feel like and don't feel bad about pitching half a meal if it is pre-plated and served to me.

I am seriously thinking I want to do Boma on our Poly resort down day even though it means leaving the resort... because then I can do Ohana (the more expensive breakfast) under DDP. It is $51.11 for both of us for breakfast at Ohana and $34.51 for Boma... not that I would really change all of my plans over $15 but it just makes me feel better maximizing the plan and minimizing subsequent OOP, lol. Also since we are not planning to do disney springs after we can take our time and see the resort a bit - whereas we will have plenty of time to see the resort at the Poly because we are staying there - we can just eat our breakfast and go.

ARGH. but that is what I am seriously leaning toward right now. So that would get Boma breakfast in which would eliminate the need to do it for dinner, which would keep me at AK for dinner at Y&Y (which is realistically the far less stressful plan), which would free up dinnertime on arrival night to just do whatever (room service if need be) and relax if we are tired. I think that is the route I should go. Thank you for listening to me babble.

And CP on my last day because... I love CP :)

ok...what forum? or does anyone want to take it to facebook? I can start a group there.
I. would love a generic "getting in shape for our trip" group rather than a typical beach body one of anyone is amenable. I like the fb idea too but would do either.

if anyone has some good walking programs or yoga programs I'd love to hear.

I am seriously thinking of doing "walk away the pounds" by leslie sansone which is probably 20 years old by now :-p

I'm all for maximimizing the DDp especially if you plan to eat there anyway. Also I think it would be nicer to rest on arrival day I think. If we choose to go to breakfast at Boma, it would probably be out of pocket.
Yak and yeti- DH wants to try their Malaysian seafood curry. I want to try the wontons, lol! I would probably get the miso salmon since that seems like a good option for DS. I like sweets :P

Edit: I've changed my plans for the 100th time today and now I have california grill and narcoosees on the same day....
