We kind of went all over every time we were there. That was partly due to the fact that we have people who loved the roller coasters and they're obviously spread to the ends of the earth! I honestly can't imagine spending a whole day in just Frontierland and Adventureland, even if you threw in Liberty Square there just wouldn't be enough for us to do. If you break it up some other way (like Tomorrowland/Adventureland, Frontierland/Fantasyland) then you're not solving the problem of criss-crossing the park. I'll be interested to see others' answers, but for us it just never makes sense to not kind of do the whole park each time we go.

We planned for 2 lands/day initially, and it worked well for us. Once we followed the TP and did everything we wanted to in those areas we ventured out further. Or if the 4th, 5th, etc FP were on the other side we headed that way. We ended up crisscrossing very little at MK that way.

This year I sorta planned it that way, but Space is my 7yo's favorite ride at MK so I have FP for both our days. And SDMT too, just in case. I think we will be walking way more this trip than last!

Thank you both for your replies :)
We will not be doing space mountain, and I'm not really certain about a lot of the rides at tomorrow land, so right now I am planning to do mostly fantasyland and Frontierland ( plus I love tom sawyers island and country bears :D. ) on the first day.. Taking into account lunch and we'll likely leave the park by 330 the latest to get to the hotel then dinner .

The next day I planned frontierland and adventure land....
What makes it a bit hard for me to picture is that from what I remember, the maps make it look like MK is waaaay more spread out then it actually is. ( maybe I'm wrong :) ) but I'm trying to think about that too!!

We'll do whatever few rides at tomorrow land our last half day ( I say half because CRT and bog will eat up so much time ) plus after mvmcp we'll likely not make 8am Rd.

I'll just stick with the plan and know that if we have more time we'll just backtrack and do what they liked again maybe..... Maybe :)

So I'm no expert, but the only real issue I see here is that this line should read " buy TWO margaritas for mama"
Other than that, this looks like an amazing time. Kiddo is going to love it.

@Lisa F , or anyone else that is planning an AK morning :) , can I ask your opinion on this timing?
would you say that it would be ok timing wise to have a PPO tusker house, then (hopefully) a 930-1030- safari fp, then a 1030-1150 lion king fast pass for the 11am show?
hope i got that right..

I'm plannign to do a morning on 12/5 but that is AM EMH and I have a late Tusker House breakfast at 10:20. I think your plan looks good but not sure about the Lion King FP though. I would do 9-10am Safari if I could or just as early as possible- just to make sure that your Lion King FP don't overlap :)

Kinda late to the party here...but, I've got another off topic question, then we can go back to everyone's celebrating!! :yay:
.....so, I have the two young girls, and we'll be at MK for 2.5 days....what has been your experience with touring the park....
Does it make more sense to stick with one or two lands per day? That's my plan right now, and I think it makes sense, but I just figured I'd ask

My past experience is to rely on the plans made for me by my TA, blissfully unaware of all that I'm missing! haha This trip, for the most part, our MK days have FP that are in the same general area with any gaps filled in by shorter line attractions or with SDFP ;) Then this is where we play it by ear depending on what sounds good in that moment as well as 4th and subsequent FP availability. On our last day, the vote for FP was Splash, Space and 7DMT so we will be all over that day.:hyper: Will you remind me what day is your FEA day?

I am so bummed. We just had to tweak our trip and now we have to drop our 12/10 park day for 12/17 (yuck) Which means I have to drop our BOG dinner. I am so crushed, as we have not been able to find another day that week. TP alerted me twice of times, while I was on my phone, I checked immediately and they were not there. Boo.

Really sorry @Tinker06! So what dates specifically are you looking for BOG? And how many in your party? :D

@Lisa F GORGEOUS plans!! You and your kiddo are going to have such a great trip!!

I know things can change, but just for kicks I checked FEA on 12/7 to see how things are looking. There are LOTS of times from 12:05 all the way through 9:00p on that day. I can check some other time too between now and Wed if you ever want reassurance! ;) (Just have 2 HS FP that day, so I can still check)

@Talby, you are awesome, thanks! This makes me feel better! I may ask you to check Tuesday evening so I can sleep, LOL!

I try to do the whole park without backtracking by going around the park either clockwise or counterclockwise and grabbing my fastpasses in order around lunch, since most of the really long standby waits are in fantasyland these days. Most people tend to try to ropedrop fantasyland and then move on, which is fine too. I prefer to spend one clockwise day, one counterclockwise day so I'm hitting everything at different times and doing the high priority attractions when lines are short and the walk on stuff when they're longer rather than doing everything in one part of the park and moving on.

@Tinker06 When and for how many do you want BOG? I'll start looking for you; I need a distraction, LOL!

We will have 6 the 12-15 and 4 the 16. Ideally I would LOVE a pre party 12/16 for 4 and a 12/10 1900 for about 8:15PM. I have a 7:10 1900 but our flight was changed to 6:35 landing. I have a 12/12 2:20 CRT and a 12/15 2:00 BOG I would be willing to trade (both for 4)

That sucks! Did you already drop that BOG dinner? If not, what time was it for? I'm looking for a better time on 12/10 if you still have it.

Thanks @Talby ! I always forget about SDFP! grr. I have to keep that in mind...speaking of which, I better get on it and order those things now!
I'm going to be trying for FEA for 12/7. It's our only Epcot day so I'm really hopeful after hearing all the success stories. :)

lol after this weekend it might be NO margaritas for mama. drank enough this weekend to last me a while :crazy2:

but 2 months is also a pretty long while too :hyper:

what time is your ppo?

the only issue I see really is that 9:30am safaris are hard to come by if they are earlier in your week. if it is later in your week it should be just fine, you will not be rushed. All of those 3 things are right in the same area.

Thanks @Lisa F! It's at 815, and it's about midway through.. Maybe I'll plan on trying for 10-11. This is our half day at ak, so I'd like to try to get as much as I can earlier on :) if not I'll just take what I can
