***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I got them on Raise.com and then went to target.com to buy the disney gift cards like I was told. Problem was Target changed their online policy and now you can't buy gift cards with gift cards online. Had to go instore (which isn't close) and buy them with the cashier scanning my phone to apply the egift certificates in my target.com account. I was $1080 in with the target gift cards and had placed a huge gift card order online, it went through but then they just cancelled my order. When I spoke to a target service rep they said sorry, policy is changed. I freaked. Thought I was out $1000.

How are you all doing your gift cards?

Yes, unfortunately they did change that policy. I've just been buying gift cards with my red card for the 5% off. I almost went through Raise, but got scared. It was not more than a couple weeks later people started being denied, so I really dodged a bullet there! We don't shop at Target much. I only need a few hundred dollars more of Disney gift cards to get our trip paid off.

I found that online that shows it with the snack credit logo and matching current prices.

Holy cow adding that and the vodka lemonade to my list of must dos. ROL Be damned :worship:

Is anyone else obsessing over ROL? I'm kind of bummed to have booked all my dining and FP+ before they announce dates or packages for ROL because it is a MUST do for us if it is happing during our dates.
:welcome:

YES!!!!!!!!! I think everyone here is obsessing about ROL! We plans on top of plans to try and prepare for it. :rotfl2:

whew i'm glad this came up! though i always check the latest thread info before doing it (in case there is a better deal). I will order some at 5% off, I have to sit down and figure out my oop food and tip budget, will probably hold back souvenirs because I do not want to end up with my cash tied up in extra disney gift cards. it's not worth the $15 bonus to have $300 in gift cards I can only use on disney :)

Yes, the online policy changed around July I believe. They fixed the loophole where you could get the 5% Redcard discount even though you paid with GCs online, and then shortly after it was no GC-GC purchases online at all. Orders were immediately cancelled. But the refund should go back on your GCs. I can see how that would have been frightening though!

I'm doing the same. Buying on Raise, or occassionally other resellers, then buying Disney in store at Target. I have lots of Targets near me, one right across the street from work. So it's not a big inconvenience. It's a shame so many of the methods have been shut down. I started buying GCs right after the Target--> ebay was shut down and those were apparently the glory days!

Sorry I've been MIA lately. We are leaving on Saturday for our short October trip. On top of that planning and packing the Disney Visa discounts came out for spring break and my sister wants to coordinate a trip. :faint: And then we have our kitchen remodel coming up so we have been finalizing that. We'll be moving all of the stuff out of our kitchen and bathroom into a spare bedroom starting the weekend we get back from the October trip. :faint: And then there are fastpasses for December. I seriously think I am just going make a fastpass for FEA for every day of our December trip and then when I have time I will go back and fill in the rest. Our 60 day window opens on Tuesday, while we are in Disney.

So, if there is something that you want me to check out while we are in WDW pplease send me a PM. I might not read it here during the trip but I get pm's sent to my email. We'll be in Epcot everyday - Oct 1st to 5th, in the Magic Kingdom on Sunday and Tuesday, in Hollywood Studios on Monday and AK on Tuesday night. We'll be at the Halloween party Sunday night so I'm hoping we don't get rained out.

Have you ever split payment between egift cards and your redcard? I was wondering if that would work?

I guess it doesn't matter in our case since the savings are so low and IMO not worth the hassle to get to the store. I did save $51.24 buying them on raise but didn't get my $50 saved with my redcard. I'm just glad to not be stuck with $1000 in gift cards that were to pay for my disney trip.

I've saved over $625 so far, but most of that was during the time you could buy Disney GCs online. But honestly it's nicer not to have to wait for shipping. I take them home, put them in my spreadsheet and then transfer the balances so I have fewer cards with large balances.

No, never tried to split the payment. But when you do that in the store, only the portion on your RedCard receives the discount.

And now I am about to see at least a few of my hard-earned ADRs hit the floor. Been telling roomie since we started that we had a s***ton of meals, not all cheap (Hello, CG brunch, CP package, and F! package), and I felt like I was painting a pretty clear picture. Actually sat down and planned out a cost analysis, and it was $200 per person more than she was thinking, so we're gonna have to make some cuts. Excuse me while I mourn my beautiful brunch...

Once we decide what has to go, I'll post here first to see if anybody wants them.

Alright, first thing to go is the most obvious:

Anybody need a California Grill Brunch for 2 people on 12/4 at 10:20am?

If you were rope-dropping MK and had no FP's scheduled and it was going to be your 4th day at MK so the point is just to hit the highlights and leave, how much time would you allow? I'm thinking the boys will at least want to do Space Mountain and BTMRR (they would wish to do 7dmt as well, but I don't see that happening). I'd want to allow enough time for those 2 rides plus at least a couple others before leaving to go to Epcot. Do you think we'd be ready to leave by 11?

I'm so sorry. :(

Next up on my ADR giveaway!

In addition to my 12/4 California Grill brunch for 2 at 10:20am,
I have a Candlelight Dinner Package on 12/7 at Via Napoli for 2 at 5:25pm for the 8:15pm Candlelight Processional. (We're swapping to a less expensive breakfast Candlelight package.)

:offtopic: I'm trying to work hard and decided to listen to some Disney music so I can concentrate... But now I feel like singing with the music :music::laughing:

I made this mistake the night before my FP morning! I blame that on why I ended up with a list that had me making a FP for both RnR and GMR at HS (both are which Tier 1 as I quickly found out trying to book my list!). :rolleyes1
