1st week of Dec or Feb?

I am trying to decide which week to plan our trip for 2015 (or 2016). We went the first week of Feb 2014 and it was great! Weather was amazing. Crowds were amazing. Fantastic trip. I seriously feel like all the stars aligned to make it perfect.

We are planning another trip and I am concerned that we won't have the great weather in Feb (very important to me) so I am looking at other dates. The 1st week of Dec looks good too.

So, if you could choose between those dates, when would you go? My kids would love to go swimming, but that is probably out of the picture in Feb. Even though we were in shorts almost everyday that we were there, it was way too cold for this Texas family in the pools (even thought they are heated). Swimming is NOT a deal breaker for us at all.

Crowds and weather are dealbreakers.

Just want to hear from people instead of a spreadsheet. I know that Dec has the Christmas decorations and I don't think as many ride closures (if any).

Thanks so much!!

We went the first week of Dec 2009, and it was not warm enough for this NC (formerly TX) family to swim. Dec can be very iffy weatherwise. We started off in shorts and had jackets, hats, and gloves by the end of the week.

Crowds are probably comparable to your Feb week.

Fan of the first week in Dec. Not much different from Feb. Crowds are still quite low and all of the Christmas decorations and activities. Worst that can happen is you don't like it and return to a Feb the following year!

we went on our honeymoon the first 2 weeks of feb. in 2012 and it was the best time to go I think. crowds were low and the weather was better then home for sure

First week(s) of February, you have to deal with the Cheerleader competitions and the screaming teenagers that accompany it. I believe they actually "practice" in the All-Star Sports courtyard on the football field, and can get really loud-even at night. Fair warning.

Coincidentally, the only time we did the first week of December it was also in 2009! We planned on swimming but both days we decided to go back to the resort to swim we got rained on! Still loved the crowd levels.
