1st Visit to DL April 2012

Hey Gang,
Looking for some help/ advise/ & some tips.
We are coming to DL for the 1st time for the both of us [DW & myself]. We have been to
WDW many, many times. I know to show up with an open mind. I think on it as “Holy Ground”, this is where it all started. We are coming for only two days, ok you can call it 1 ½ before our cruise. I am retired military, we will becoming with tickets already.
We’ll be staying @ the GC, so we have that part covered. What we are looking for, “What not to miss”
“Where to Eat”, what if any shows to see. We are SO looking forward to this trip!
We have a little more than six months, so I hope to get a lot of input.

Oh.....& Angel, if at ALL possible, I would change your "1.5 days in the parks" to 2.5 days. (in other words...consider booking an extra day & an extra night).

3.5 days at DLR would be better.......but imo......2.5 days is really the absolute bare minimum to truly enjoy Walt's park & DCA.

As far as places to eat that are CS I would suggest Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante if you like Mexican food.
