I saw the 1st visit buttons all around WDW on our last visit a few weeks ago. Do they have these at DLR? Where can I got one?

Yes, they do. Try City Hall or cashiers at stores and restaurants.

Thank you for asking this question. We are going to DL with our DS12 for his very first trip in July. This would be a great thing to pick up for him!

We asked for one when we checked in at DLH. We were also talking to a cashier in the store right by the Jedi Academy and she gave us one because we mentioned it was our sons first trip. We had people stop and ask us about the button and there was a shortage of them apparently when we were there. You may have to hunt.

We got ours at the City Hall. We tried to head there first thing in the morning but it was packed so we hit it at around 3 in the afternoon and there was no wait.

Here's a pic of what they have at DL:

I got mine from the guest services in front of Burrbank in DCA. :goodvibes

LOL ..... I asked that question a few months ago and noone answered......Hope someone knows now ! !

What would the Honorary Citizen button be for?

I got one when I took the "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" tour. But I'm sure there are other ways to get it.

When I wanted to get a "1st Visit to Disneyland" button, I went to City Hall and asked the CM how to get one. She replied, "You have to ask nicely." Needless to say, I got one. :)

Do you mind giving me a brief rundown of the tour and your opinion? I am trying to convince DH to do it with me, but he hates tours.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

Sure! My experience might vary from others, though, since a ride on the railroad is supposed to be part of the tour but it's currently down for rehab.

The tour lasts 3 1/2 hours. You meet with the tour guide at 9am (just show your tour tickets and park tickets at the gate...it won't count as your EE!) You're shown all the special places that were dear to Walt: his apartment over the firehouse (you don't get to go inside), the Main Street Cinema, even Club 33 (you DO get to go inside, but you remain in the lobby. However, you're allowed to take all the pictures you want, including yourself and others inside that marvelous glass elevator.) Little touches are pointed out to you and explained along the way, like the windows for Elias Disney on Main Street and Fess Parker in Frontierland, the golden spike in Snow White's Castle, etc. You're taken to a performance of The Enchanted Tiki Room, where you remain after the other guests have left to explore the attraction and meet a "special guest." You're then taken to Walt's other apartment (you probably know what I mean) for a special tour, then you have a private lunch on the enclosed patio of the Disney Gallery. During the entire time, the guide is telling you all sorts of stories about Walt, Lillian, and the attractions you're passing. Included with the tour is a special "A Walk In Walt's Footsteps" pin and, of course, one of the buttons pictured above.

While you're taking the tour, you really do feel like you're walking along with Walt. If you're really into the history of DL, or just want to learn more about the man who built it, I can't recommend this tour highly enough!

Thanks a bunch! :thumbsup2

I tried mentioning it to DH again tonight and he rolled his eyes. He said we could decide when we get there (I guess hoping I would change my mind :sad2: ) and I said that might not be a good idea. I don't want the tour to be full. I'd be so disappointed.

I really wish the RR was up and running, but it will still be closed when we get there. :sad1: I know how much Walt loved trains.
