We'd been to USF many, many times when we lived in the area, but had never made it to IOA - so we committed Disney heresy and went to IOA, on Dec. 31, dreading the crowds, but ...
Folks, even tho the park opened at 8, we didn't make it till 8:45 and basically walked on EVERYTHING until after lunch, then started using some front of line passes we'd gotten at guest services (long story.)
I'm an unrepentant Disney fan, been 100+ times, but I gotta say that what IOA does they do superbly. The Lost Continent theming was breathtaking. The biggies - Spiderman, Dueling Dragons, Hulk, Jurassic Park - were walkons, and I think Hulk may be my best coaster experience.
By mid-afternoon the crowds had built significantly, and we left about 4 PM, having done basically all we wanted to do for a 1st trip. Just a way-cool park, and for those of you who've known this all along, count me in as a believer (but not gonna give up on WDW!)
