1st Trip Home - Tips/Suggestions?

We are leaving Sunday for our first trip home to SSR and our first use of points. We purchased DVC on our DCL trip in February. We are very excited to see the resort and experience the DVC lifestyle.

Can you DVC veterans give me some tips or suggestions on how to use our DVC membership in the World? I assume we get free parking in the parks and I'm already getting a discount on the Segway tour I've scheduled. I realize that we don't get daily maid service but we are staying in a 1 bd and can use the w/d to freshen up the towels.

Any other helpful perks or tips you'd like to share?

Have a great time, and remember that you'll be back! There is time to stop and enjoy the resort.

Read over the vacation perks pamphlet that you'll be getting, just in case there's something you overlooked when planning. Yes, you get free parking at the parks, and free valet parking at the DVC resorts, like VWL if you are going to Artist Point for dinner, there's a DVC discount for dinner there

I'd just echo Bobbi's suggestion.

Remember that this is the first of many trips. Make it a vacation, not a commando operation. Spend some time walking around the resort, get some pool time, spend some time at Downtown Disney (But stay away from Ghiradelli!). Relax, have a great time.
