Our first trip ever to WDW!! My husband has to work 5 days at Wide World of Sports, so kids, my sister and I tag along for the fun.

DH has to work so my sister and I take the kids to AK for the day, starting with Donalds Breakfastosaurus. Im not sure what entails a good character breakfast so I cant say whether its good or bad. Personally I wouldnt do it again, but I can see why some would enjoy this.
After breakfast we hit the park. What a great park this is!! Everything is so positive and fun for the kids. Tarzan Rocks is an awesome show. The bats were a big hit and Kali River Rapids was tame enough not to scare my 4 year old, but thrilling enough to be a blast for everyone. The best part of Kali River Rapids is it cooled us down and kept us cool for the next 2 hours (it was pretty hot early in the day).
Both kids chickened out of Dinosaur during the intro and I had to leave Its Tough to be a Bug early because my 4 year old was screaming her guts out. Still overall Im so impressed that this park is so positive and not focused on scary themes. We just felt happy all day, it was very cool.
We had lunch at Rainforest Cafe, wow what a perfect accompaniment to AK. I prefer table service so Im glad this restaurant was an option right next to the park. My sister liked it so much she bought 2 T-shirts.
After lunch we went back into the park and toured Camp Minnie-Mickey, again Lion King was so up beat and fun. I really like this park, oh and did I mention no lines all day!! I think that made it even better.
I am so tired at this point. We head back to AKL and take the kids swimming (my son actually asked to leave so he could see what animals were outside our balcony). The AKL pool is really neat, theres a savanna behind it with 4 female giraffes so you can sometimes see them feeding. Its just very pretty. My son loved the slide and my daughter thought the zero entry was a blast, she walked up and down that thing for an hour. The only suggestion I have for AKL is to keep the water cleaner, the water seemed cloudy this day.
Dinner was just a few delicious appetizers from concierge lounge and we all past out. What a great day.
Magic moment: When my son trips and drops his drink, a nearby cast member instantly runs and refills it for him. That made him happy.
Biggest regret: I didnt buy that cute pink AK T-shirt in Asia, they didnt have it at AKL as I had hoped, bummer.
