Hello,

I are trying to plan our 1st trip to disney and would like some help finding the best deals out there.
We would like to stay at Ft Wilderness, are there any discounts available?
Would you suggest purchasing tickets at the park or are there better deals?
Should we do a meal plan?
As you can see, I have no clue and there is so much info out there that my head is spinning.... I'd love any suggestions...

Hi there. We are also planning our first trip to DW and we are staying at Fort Wilderness Dec.4th thru Dec.12th.:cool1:I can tell you that there are no discounts on the campsites but if you book a cabin that is considered a moderate and it qualifies for discounts. If you look further down on the boards there is a camping board, I totally reccommend you looking at it, that board has been wonderful to find any and all info about camping at Disney. As far as your ticket question we read on the boards about a company called undercover tourist.com and this is where we are buying our tix thru because the have very good prices, including tax in the purchase price, and they came highly reccommended from other members.I hope this is a help to you and have a wonderful trip.:)

My advice, read a lot of threads here, do your homework. You can find tons of valuable information here. And, of course, BRING A LOT OF CASH.

:welcome: As for tickets...we use undercovertourist every trip we take. One thing I regretted for our first trip (many years ago) was that we did not purchase hoppers. We have never gone again without them. Some people say they aren't necessary, but we truly enjoy our visit so much more with them.

As for the dining plan, if you plan on doing table service for many of your meals you would be fine. Dining is where we watch our costs and we don't do sit downs (maybe one or two the whole trip) so for us we would be spending more money if we did a meal plan.
