I have been reading these boards for better than a month and really thank you all for the help. I came here when deciding to rent a vacation home for the "biggest" portion of our trip 2-24 through 3-3. We are a family of 6: kids are 11F, 9M, 6F, and 2F. I believe the home is going to be great for our first days.

We just decided to spend our last two nights in one of the resorts. I have reservations for the GF but then I thought about the kids -- should 3/3 and 3/4 be nice enough to swim, they will want to have a ball in the resort's pool area. We've never been. I have looked and read but would appreciate a few parent's opinions as to which would give our children the biggest thrill. :bounce:

Thank you for any help!

~We leave Friday!~

hi: the last time we were in wdw in march was 87 and i was pregnant with our youngest. it was a bit too chilly at that time to swim for me. the pools are heated though. the pool at the yc/bc is great and our teens and twenties love it. my one son stayed at the gf last summer on his honeymoon and they thought the new pool was pretty neat, just not the same as stormalong bay at the yc/bc. it really depends on what you'll want to do those last 2 days-if you'll be going to the parks, the gf is only a short boat ride away from the mk; the yc/bc is walking distance to both epcot and mgm. if it will be more of a resort stay, the yc/bc is directly across from the bw with a lot of neat restaurants and a little bit in the way of nightlife.

i can't tell you about the GF pool, but stormalong bay at YC/BC is spectacular.....we all love it......and usually spend hours there each visit.....
best pool in all of WDW.....

We have stayed at both. My 10 year old DD rated Stormalong Bay the better of the two pools by a huge margin. She wasn't even interestd in going to the pool for a second time at GF. Diana

I just booked the YC for our last 2 days and one of those days will be spent at Stormalong Bay and maybe the Neverland club at night for the kids. I appreciated the comments and the photos! It helped to make our decision. I think if it were the two of us, sans kids, we'd do the GF but they will love that pool area at the YC.

I'm so glad we have built in one day at the beginning and one at the end for seeing resorts, doing the Hoop de Do, Neverland Club, Pleasure Island for the parents etc., into our trip -- I'm hoping it makes the time all the more pleasurable! :)

Thank you all so much for your help!
