1st time going through Buffalo Airport

Also, one tip.

When driving to Buffalo, don't cross at Queenston/Lewiston bridge. Go to Peace Bridge in Fort Erie, it's much faster.

We tried to cross at Q/L at the end of August and it took 3 hours to get through customs into the US. I've heard similar stories since then.

Totally Agree!

We arrived at Q/L bridge yesterday afternoon at 1:39 p.m. and did not get to a Custom's Officer until 2:39 p.m.!

It just seems the only problem was traffic congestion!

We crossed at Q/L bridge twice now. 1st time it took us 5 minutes, 2nd time it took us nearly an hour. Depends on the time of day when you cross I guess. :confused3 And yes we found flying out of Buffalo great as well, and much cheaper than Toronto :thumbsup2

We just returned last night after 10 days in Orlando. We stayed at the Sleep Inn and took advantage of their park and fly special of $109 per night. While the room was a little small (and the beds too) you couldn't really beat the price, location and good continental breakfast.

Our trips through customs (going either way) at the Peace Bridge/Fort Erie were quick and uneventful. We waited about 10 minutes in line on the Friday night at 8pm going into the US and there was no lineup or wait re-entering Canada on a Monday night at about 7pm.

The hotel is a 3-5 drive from the airport and Southwest has curbside check in so that was a breeze. We were throught security in less than 10 minutes.

This is the second time we've chosen Buffalo rather than Toronto and can't see us going back to Toronto given the difference in price and ease of getting throught the airport and customs via Buffalo.
