We can't wait , I am in the process of renting points for the week after Christmas at BCV . Can anyone who has stayed there before give us tips on Dining and any activities we might do.
There is myself DW and DS 8. also I know its close to EPCOT can you dine there without using a park pass ? I have 2 days left on a hopper pass. And need to plan around those days at the parks.

Thanks for any help .....Tim

You do need a park pass to dine at Epcot.
There are many dining alternatives in and around the Beach Club area, Boardwalk and S/D. Some examples are Spoodles, Flying Fish, ESPN, Big River Grille (BW),
Shulas Steakhouse (Swan), Yachtsmen Steakhouse (Yacht Club), and Cape May Cafe (Beach). These are just a few. There are also several places for lighter fare depending on the time of day.

Most imporantly...........

Make PS's now! Especially for those places that you really want to dine!

BTW, See you There!

DD and I will also be at BCV from December 26th until January 2nd!

Epcot will still have their Christmas Santas, etc.....

There is the Candlelight Processional.

The resorts will all be decked out!

NYE will be special and crowded! We are doing the Cirque show!

This will be our first time during this time and have been warned to be prepared for the crowds!

Don't forget to wear your Lime Green!

Tim,

Unfortunately you won't be able to take advantage of MVMCP at the Magic Kingdom, as it ends before Christmas. What I might suggest for a fun activity would be to visit MGM and take in the Osborne Lights spectacular. It's returning after a one year hiatus.

Another thing we liked to do was to take a tour of the Deluxe resorts and see their various decorations. You can do the monorail loop to GF, Poly, and CR, and then drive over to the Boardwalk and take in the decorations at BWI, YC, and BC. You'll probably have to drive over to the WL as it's a bit off by itself.

Definitely stay for the "Wishes" fireworks at MK, and take in Fantasmic at MGM if you can.

I only wish that we were going this Holiday season, as there's nothing like being in the most "Magical Place on Earth" during the holidays. Have a great time!!

I have always wanted to go to the BCV for New Years, how crowded is it? Is it more crowded than the summer months? What has been your experience with the weather temp's?

Stephan, the gentleman who makes the Carousel in BCV in the lobby,

gave a class for DVC kids like 3 p.m. in the afternoon, on how to build a gingerbread house.

The sides were all assembled. Just had to frost and decorate. It was really fun.

I'd ask if they are doing it again this year. My DD 6 loved it.

FYI - It made it home in good shape hand carrying it home on the airplane. Made the security check that much more fun!

Thanks for all the help.
Has anyone heard about the sleigh rides at WL ?? Saw some posts about it but could not find an info.
Also what is the Osbourne thing ??? Is Ozzie playing Disney LOL.
We saw Mickeys Christmas Parade about 4 years ago . . Loved it but I know it ends before we get there.
We sre going to try to take it easy and get around to all the Resorts... Hopefully it will convince DW to buy in... I am pulling out all the stops.

About the Sleigh rides ~ I have one booked for us on the Monday night! Apparently it's a half hour "drive" thru the woods! There are pics posted on the Attractions Board but the search is down so can't find it. They also offer a carriage ride thru FW where you can see all the campers decorated in their Christmas finery!

That would be fun if it were Ozzie but......It's a Christmas Light Display at MGM that is suppose to be out of this world!

You can probably find pics on allearsnet too!
