1st Disney trip-Poly or GF?

Just giving my 2 cents. The age of your children make being on the monorail an excellent choice. OK. That, you already know. I suggest GF because you have "princesses." And, there are lots of princess themed stuff there. Also, it sounds like cost is not the biggest concern for you. May i suggest booking a GF club level room. Club level makes life that much more magical.

We rented points for our first stay with kids and has never looked back. Also, the GF studios have a split bathroom whereas the one bedroom units do not.

While cost is not the BIGGEST concern (as we do want to spend the money to stay on the monorail) all we can afford is a standard room at these resorts, not club level.

Regarding the studios versus one bedroom, the reason I was looking at the 1 bedroom is so that my husband and I could have a separate living area to hang out in after kids go to bed. It is my understanding that the studios do not...

I believe that is correct. :surfweb:

Olive: Thank you! I know this will sound *crazy* but I am not even sure we will do Epcot or Hollywood Studios at their ages. We would like to spend a lot of time at the MK, maybe do Animal Kingdom, and have a day to just relax at the resort pool and do Mickey's halloween party. If we do have time to do Epcot OR Hollywood Studios, which do you think is more "kid-friendly" to young girls?

I know other people popped in and said things about their young children, but I'm adding on a little. My first Disney trip was when I was 4 1/2 years old. I was with my parents and my 15 year old brother. We went to all the parks and I don't think my parents had any problems with me.

My mom has also told me that before we went away on vacation, for maybe a month or so, my parents would take me out for a walk around my neighborhood every night. This is so I would be used to walking around and to prepare for the trip. When we went to Disney, I didn't use a stroller. I walked the whole place on my own, with maybe occasionally popping on to my dad's shoulders. May be an idea to try with your girls, or at least the oldest :)
