1st AG-How old?

DD9 had a BB, and got Kaya, Nellie and Samantha at ages 5 and 7 - but it was really mommy wanting them more than her. At age 9, she is finally "into" all the AG stuff (as are her friends at school). In retrospect, I think I should have waited - but I was too anxious!!!!!!

Hmm, I think that I might just wait to see if there are any great deals on Kit with the movie coming out. Then I can hold it for her if I need too. :goodvibes

I guess we're a little overzealous - we've been getting the yearly ones (I forget the exact term) since she was born. She has 2 now. She is getting Bitty Babies for Christmas. She'll be 3 in January.

Us too.

My DD is turning 2 in January and she is getting Samantha's tea table - but not the accessories - and bed for her birthday. She has a Felicity that was actually mine (although DD calls her "Gracie"). She's getting a little messy but I would much rather spend money on AG than Barbie or Bratz or that other stuff. I'll probably buy her her first AG doll of her own for her 3rd b-day.

My grandmother is getting both my DDs (6 months and almost 2) and my cousin's DD (6 months) a Bitty Baby for Christmas as well.

As I hear from my wife, DD is gettting the Bitty Baby crib and some other stuff. Nicki as well is currently living in a box in the basement preparing for her Christmas debut. She will then take up residence with the other two yearly dolls.

My DD was 3 when she got her first AG doll. I didn't buy it for her though, my cousin did. DD was the flower girl in my cousin's wedding and the doll was the bride's "thank you" gift to DD. She took great care of the doll, and two years later Santa brought Samantha. DD is now 8 and Santa is bringing Julie this year. She and her friends love playing with these dolls and reading the books and I'm all for keeping them little girls as long as possible! :)

Santa will be bringing our first AG doll. DD is 4. However, she had two of the generic dolls and she takes very good care of them...hence why Santa forked over the cash for the real doll this year ;)

I don't think AG run specials on their dolls, but if I had to guess, I'd say that they would be coming out with a friend for Kit pretty soon.

DD5 got Jess this year for Easter. She takes very good care of her. She does lose some of the accessories that come with the outfits though. She's missing a few shoes to. She also has the twins (retired brunettes with shorter hair) and Bitty.

Anyone waiting for the new Girl of the Year cominig out January 1st? Her name is Maya (I think) and has Strawberry blond hair, she's an ice skater in a purple outfit with skates. She has big brothers that play hockey. AG revealed her on the Oprah show a few weeks ago. Remember Nicki retires at the end of this year.

honestly i think that it depends on the kid. My DD was 1 when my mother bought her a just like me doll (ironically it looks NOTHING like her now). AAnyway....my mom was at the AG store in NYC and couldn't help herself. We put it on a shelve and it's been there until recently. My DD is turning 5 this month and she has been playing with it. She is VERY VERY into her babies. So she takes good care of her.
