I was wondering the same thing. This caught my eye because I do like seafood but I see very little of it on this menu.

This is very disappointing. This is my favorite meal and I was planning on doing it again next year....but, I do not eat ANY seafood. The menu listed doesn't seem very appealing....

That is close to the new menu, although it is missing some of the seafood items we saw last week. Even looking at that menu the seafood items on it are:
salmon
catfish
sushi (there was more than one type)
shrimp
conch chowder
paella (it was a seafood paella)

I do not think the chicken was there last week, and I would have eaten it. I also do not think they had the Mongolian beef stir fry the night we were there, because I would have eaten that. They had a stir fry that was solely veggie that night.

The only non seafood entrees with meat we saw last week other than on the kid's section were the jerk turkey (dry and barely spiced), the striploin (I did not try it), and the pork loin (not as dry as the turkey, but bland). Basically, there were 3 non-seafood entrees, and including the shellfish not on the menu we saw 6 or 7 seafood entrees (I'm not counting the conch chowder as an entrée). To me, as someone who hates seafood, that is very seafood heavy. Also, the 3 non-seafood meat entrees they had were slabs of meat- I much preferred the pot stickers, Chicken Marsala, and pasta from the old menu.

I'm hoping that once they have had some feedback, other items start popping up on the buffet. Unlike where you have a printed menu, on a buffet it should be pretty easy to add or change things.

This is on our list to reserve for our next trip since we enjoyed it so much last time. Honestly, I think the new menu sounds good but we are seafood fans. My only concern is the smell..Please tell me it doesn't smell like Cape May in there or we are going to have to skip it.

Walking by the outside of Cape May totally grosses me out- so fishy-- I did not smell anything like that at 1900 Park Fare last week. I think you will be okay!

So glad to hear this!! Cape May just has an overwhelming odor about it.

Hmm.....we're eating dinner here next month, and only DH likes seafood; both DS's and myself do not. In fact, 3 things that both boys and myself WOULD eat off the old menu were the potstickers, chicken marsala, and pasta :( They should be ok with the kids buffet even if they have to fill their plates 5 or 6 times lol, but unless the key lime ginger grilled chicken and Mongolian stir-fry are there, I may be sticking to salad. Well, and dessert :rolleyes1 But yeah I'm hoping if this new menu isn't being well received that maybe some of the old items will pop back up in the next few weeks.

Younger DS's teacher always stays at BC. Nobody in her family eats seafood and she said the only thing she dislikes about the resort is the nasty fishy smell outside Cape May. Is it there constantly, like even during breakfast? Or only during dinner hours? Just curious :)

We've only been out there for dinner so I really don't know if it's constant during the day. But in our experience it was pretty strong so I can't imagine it just magically goes away after they close. :)

The menu looks like what we experienced in Sept. I didn't notice it being overly heavy on seafood, though there were seafood options. We did not smell anything either!

would love more opinions. I'm hesitant now. My daughter 20 had this as her 1 must do however, she is not a fish eater whatsoever and I'm concerned that there might not be enough options for her..... what's a girl to do.....

I don't remember much of the old menu (other than the strawberry soup!), but the new menu looks good to me (albeit a little random). Ooh they did used to have a bread pudding with a vanilla sauce - was that still there?

Is an adult allowed to eat off the children's buffet? Not to eat solely from there but to supplement the adult buffet?
We are not seafood eaters (at all) and I have a reservation that I'd like to keep so my daughter can see Cinderella.

Just an FYI, we ate at 1900 Park Fare last week and when we sat down were advised that there was a new chef and significant changes had been made to the buffet in the last few days. Before anyone panics, yes the Strawberry Soup is still there (moved to a different place and in a "drink" container with a spout). Pretty much everything else that I usually ate there is gone though. They no longer have bratwurst, pot stickers, chicken marsala, durban chicken, chicken noodle soup, or pasta alfredo. They are heavier on the sea food now and have lots of shellfish items (so be aware if you have a shellfish allergy). They still have the jerk turkey breast (but at least the piece I had was barely spiced and very dry) and the beef loin. DH was happy because he likes seafood. He was fine with the new version of the buffet. They still have the salmon which is DD's favorite, so she was also happy. I hate seafood. I have always liked 1900 Park Fare's food in the past, but this time was I think the first time in my life I have ever left a buffet still hungry.
Good to know. I'll never go back there again cause I cant stand seafood! I wouldnt have gone back anyway, cause I thought the food at dinner was pretty bad pre-menu changes. Just bad quality food and selection. Blah!

Yes of course its allowed, at any buffet! I love disney mac n' cheese. :)

We have an ADR for dinner, last time we had the breakfast buffet and really enjoyed our time, food and character interaction. We decided to do dinner this time because we heard the step-monsters were awesome :P Hope mama is there, but would love the godmother, she's one of my favorites. We all like sea food so I am not to worried, going to be celebrating my 50th birthday:cake:!

This is disappointing to me as well. Have our first ADR there for our December trip, and none of my family prefers seafood. Wife hates it, myself and my kids could tolerate and eat it some - but don't ever choose it.

Makes it a tough call - I've always heard this character interaction is one of the best!

Thanks for the update, OP. We have a reservation here in a few weeks and I don't like seafood very much. Especially not in a buffet. We'll still go, though, and I'll try to report back on the experience and especially the menu.
