1900 park fare for dinner??

I am wondering if I should cancel our reservation here since we are going to CRT on another night. What do you all think? I think one meal with Cinderella would be enough.

It's a very different experience. The big draw at 1900 PF is the stepsisters and stepmother more than Cinderella. You also have Prince Charming at 1900.

Food is very different also.

What would you replace this meal with? What else are you doing that day? How much transportation is involved getting to GF for dinner?

We went last year and like the food. We were a party of 11 and all of us enjoyed it. Its not the best for food but it definitely has one of the best character interactions that we go back often. So much fun.

We did dinner about a year and a half ago and I thought the food was actually very good. Especially for a buffet. The steak they had was melt in your mouth tender and delicious. The Strawberry soup was yummy and they had a dessert (some sort of crisp I can't recall exactly what was in it) that had me going back for more and I recall thinking I didn't usually find desserts of that quality at buffets. Service was good, but the server was obviously very nervous about the extensive food allergies at the table. Chef was just okay as far as allergy accommodations.

I was not going to replace it. I figured we would just do a counter service. We have Chef Mickeys dinner, Hollywood and Vine Breakfast, CRT dinner, Garden Grill Breakfast, Akershus dinner, Ohana, Be Our Guest Dinner, Tusker House breakfast, Boathouse Dinner and Crystal Palace Lunch. I just feel like we may get character dinner overload lol

It was one of the Disney buffets were the food choices ran the gamete of great to awful. There was some really good stuff, to some horrible. Not inedible but nothing spectacular either.

I am a sucker for things like Mongolian beef, so I was happy. All five characters were among the best I have experienced.

I will point out that I though the buffet was about 10 dollars more expensive then it was, so that may colour how I feel about the experience. Plus the hostess (Devon) was everything a Disney Cast Member should be.

What do you have planned for that day?

The step - family would be the only villains you get to see so that is very unique and they do a great job interacting.

IMO if you go to CRT and Akershus first 1900 will be a disappointment. I have done all 3 and we are only doing 1900 dinner on our upcoming trip because it is an out-of-park meal and before we do Akershus.

We enjoyed the food both times that we went. Our most recent trip was March of 2017. We especially liked the strawberry soup.

What time is the adr? What time do you plan on arriving and leaving the park that day?
4:15 pm. We were planning on going to Magic Kingdom. We thought it would be or first full day in MK before we booked our flight. It gets in at 7:30 am the day before and we know we are going to want to run to MK. I would not complain if we spent the first two days in MK! It is my favorite park.

If you plan on going back to MK after dinner, then keep the ADR. It will be a nice break from the park, so you can recharge your batteries for evening fun at MK. Very easy to get there and back from MK.

If you planned on leaving for your hotel/resort after dinner, then I would choose a later dinner, like 6 pm or so, whether it be TS or QS. (and just have a mid afternoon snack/break in the park).

I would say if you are doing those other character buffets the food is just as comparable as the others. It's probably exactly on par with Crystal palace lunch. 1900 might be better. Akershus was our fav character princess meal last time. The food is really great.

We went on 7/11. The character interaction was even better than last time (and I didn't think that was possible). The stepsisters were even more attentive and fought over dancing with my son...when Anastasia "stole" him, Drizella grabbed my daughter and started twirling around. It was hilarious.

The menu changed since last year. I preferred the food last time and I think my husband preferred the food this time. Can't make everyone happy 100% of the time.

It was actually our favorite meal this past trip the first week of July. I think for people who like the non-exotic type foods it's great. They had chicken soup, cheese fiilled pasta, mashed potoatoes, mac and cheese, turkey breast, beef (which they will cook on the grill well done if you ask), Mongolian beef that I actually though was tender and really good...Everyone is different but my wife, two daughters (3 and 5) and myself enjoyed. Within the past year we have had Hollywood and Vine dinner, Chef Mickey's, CRT, Crystal Palace Dinnder, and thought this was not only the best tasting, but largest amount of variety.

1900 was the best character interaction meal we've ever had. The food was okay, nothing special.
We go because the characters are amazing.

Aw, this is somewhat concerning. We are going for the first time in November and we had originally heard the food was good. I am excited for the character interactions so as long as those go well it will be worth it. It is disappointing that the food might not be good, though.

We are going to dinner because of the characters at that time.

Go and make your own determination. We all have our own idea of what is good food, and what is a good value.

WE love CM for a kick off dinner, but if you read the reviews all that is served there is swill. I will not bother going back to Cape May for dinner, but there are people who book it every trip and love it.

I will never return to Le Cellier, think that 'Ohana is overrated, and enjoyed Shutters, love Rose and Crown, and Mama Melrose. People have different tastes, so if you rely on reviews to make your dining choices you will end up bringing your own PB&J sandwiches.

Any character meal is about the characters and the food is secondary. If you go in expecting decent food, yu shoudl be okay.

Honestly, I would just cancel 1900. The stepsisters are HILARIOUS, but the food isnt good. Its not worth it to pay all that money just to see stepsisters. And sure prince charming is there, but so what...is it worth the price tag? Not in my opinion. Lol. Considering how many character meals you already have, i'd ditch 1900 to be honest.
