I was just wanting to get some input on my reservations for my wife and I. This is the first time we've done WDW without the kids..and boy are they ticked!! :rotfl: (kidding, of course) This is for my 50th and we thought after 27 years and three adult daughters we were overdue for a second honeymoon.

O.K...we have..

9/16....Coral Reef
9/17...Mama Melrose (for Fantasmic)
9/18...O'Hana
9/19...Wolfgang Puck
9/20...Le Cellier
9/21..1900 Park Fare (before MNSSHP)

Did I do O.K.?

It is a really bad idea cause it is closed then. They are refurbishing it. The only reason I know this is because I tried to book it for our trip too. :lmao:

Good luck with somewhere else.

Well jeepers! I have a reservation and a confirmation number!!!

Id better call and double check. Thanks for the heads up!:thumbsup2

O.K..I just called and the 1900 Park Fare character dinner will be held at the Grand Floridian Cafe instead..same dinner, different restaraunt..

DisneyInDel, I was offered the same thing but WAS told it was a different meal as it is not a buffet at the Cafe, which is a much smaller venue, (I think). They might have the same characters though if that is what is important to you.

Good luck, SG

It's a pre plated meal, with I think a choice of a few different items. Thats a shame too because the buffet is really good. Mmmm, strawberry soup!

Yes, it's preplated. Appetizer was a choice of salad or soup, there were maybe five or six entree choices, and dessert is a shared plate of mini desserts.

I don't see a problem with it before MNSSHP since it's only a short monorail ride from MK. However, I don't know that I'd want to choose a character dinner that night if the kids weren't with us, at least not a princess one. That's just personal preference though. I'd go with Kona Cafe or Concourse Steakhouse, or even the Plaza inside MK.

We have done a resort dinner before MNSSHP ('Ohana) and last year lucked up and were able to be seated at LTT after a 20 minute wait with no ADR (we had ADR for Concourse, which we love, but we went on to the party at 4PM). I think that with 1900 not being the buffet it's going to be a madhouse, noisy and maybe even a little cramped. As a PP stated, without kids you might be happier at a non character meal.

I cant thank you guys enough! The buffet was the reason we were going, so now we changed our plan...decided to do a CS meal the night of the MNSSHP and upgraded our Fantasmic dinner from Mama Melrose to the Brown Derby...Thanks again!
