1900 park fair dinner question

Can anyone tell me what is the deal at the buffet at 1900 park fair? I have read that it is currently serving preplated dinners and not offering a buffet? Is this correct? Is there a refurbishment going on that has caused this? I made reservations for dinner there for mid Jan 08 and was wondering will the buffet be back in operation. Thanks for your help

1900 Park Fare is being refurbished now - currently the character meal is being served in the Grand Floridian Cafe restaurant.

By the time you go (Jan 08) the refurb will be done and it will be back in the regular restaurant.

How is the character meal at the GF compared to the 1900 Park Fare? When do they start the refurb on Park Fare?

(are there options at all, or are you just handed a plate of whatever they are serving?)

we will be going in two weeks and I would love to know what to expect
